New Moon

This month's New Moon is in Gemini in partile (same degree) conjunction with Venus, which at least starts out sounding like a good thing since Venus is a benefic planet. At least for the most part. Gemini isn't one of her favorite signs, however, since it's linked with logic and information while her native energy is more associated with your needs, comforts, possessions and finances as the ruler of Taurus and relationships as ruler of Libra. What messes this up the most, however, is the Grand Mutable Cross of which this trio is a part. Such an aspect pattern comprises squares and oppositions among all the Mutable signs which include Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. Squares denote conflict or clashes while oppositions are just that, and require balance. The starting point for figuring out where this is going to affect you is the house in which the New Moon occurs, which is noted and briefly described above.  The lunation trio squares Jupiter, typically another lucky planet, except he's currently in Virgo where he is in his ancient debility as the traditional ruler of Pisces.  Jupiter is big-picture oriented, optimistic, confident and expansive while Virgo is detail-oriented, critical of self and others, and practical. Thus, Jupiter's nature is suppressed such that he could become overcome by details or excessively critical.

Opposing the lunation is Saturn in Sagittarius, where he is retrograde. Saturn retrograde typically addresses something that needs to be restructured or rebuilt. This is going to relate to which house this is for you, which is conveniently also described above under the "Full Moon." Look to this part of your life for something that requires rebuilding, though the details may not be apparent until he comes out of retrograde a few months from now. At this point, this could simply be rumbling around in your subconscious, perhaps creating a feeling of restlessness but lacking reason. It's also possible that the developing situation will define what needs to be done.  Sagittarius is philosophical by nature, which can be useful in numerous cases. His opposition to the lunation can provide needed balance or prioritizing, if there is too much information to handle it all.

The last planet in the Grand Square is Neptune in Pisces, which he rules, so we have a dreamy planet in a sign that can be idealistic and unrealistic, though inspiration can come as well. However, in hard aspect, it often leans toward the negative. He can distort the truth or information coming in from the New Moon, fog the solution sought by Saturn, and create confusion with regard to Jupiter, who may already be overwhelmed with detail.

The lunation's quincunx with Pluto implies a change of direction based on uncovering past issues which have been purposely hidden away. Thus, if you have any unresolved issues from the past, i.e. "dirty little secrets," they could come out at this time.

Full Moon

The Full Moon on June 20 caries a Mutable Grand Cross as well, but Mercury has taken the position held previously by the Sun, Moon and Venus. Mercury in Gemini is dignified as its ruler. This will facilitate the flow of information, perhaps so much of it that it complicates the situation. Another interesting thing about this lunation is that it's the second Full Moon in Sagittarius. Usually each month the lunations change signs, but in this case it didn't. Whatever house Sagittarius represents for you is thus getting a double whammy. The placement in the last degree brings additional punch as a conclusion, ending or shift to a new phase. Maybe the Full Moon in May shifted matters to a new phase, which will culminate with this one. 

Jupiter trining Pluto further supports information loaded with details being unearthed, which will contribute to the issue at hand. Mars is back in Scorpio, sign of his traditional dignity, where he's still retrograde, which indicates going back and redoing something. Think back to between March - May 2014, the last time Mars was retrograde and see if there is any connection. Often something done during one retrograde cycle comes back on the next one and slaps you upside the head. Mars is quincunx Uranus, indicating a sudden change of direction. Uranus represents freedom, rebellion, breakthroughs, technology, explosions, surprises, disruptions and disturbances so something along those lines will precipitate the shift.

OTHER COSMIC EVENTS

Neptune stations retrograde on June 13. Outer planets are retrograde more often than not and have slightly less noticeable effect than the inner planets, i.e. Mercury, Venus and Mars. Nonetheless, a station infuses a lot of energy into that particular degree since the planet remains there for longer than usual. In this case, the King of the Deep will be at 12 degrees Pisces from 2 - 26 June but he was at 11 degrees from 12 April until 1 June as he gradually stationed.  As if that's not bad enough, he'll be back at 11 degrees from 27 June - 19 August. Neptune transits can be difficult, which I know personally. If you feel ungrounded and confused, as if things are slipping away or even literally disappearing, he's probably the culprit. If your birthday is right around 3 - 4 December, this station squares your natal Sun from your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings. If you've felt in a fog lately, this could well be the cause. Furthermore, Saturn has been parked on your natal Sun for a while, too, which tends to be depressing in itself. Saturn is trying to get you to restructure something but Neptune could have you in such a fog that you have no idea what to do first. You're a definite candidate for Forrest's book. Once you understand the influences you're under it will be easier to figure out what to do.

The station chart brings a yod, a.k.a. Finger of God, which tends to have a fated nature. It involves Uranus and the Sun at the base and Mars retrograde at the point, usually referred to as the eye. This suggests a sudden realization or understanding of something that may cause you to question a past action. A change of direction with a relationship is possible as you view the past through different eyes.

If your birthday is right around 15 December this yod connects with your natal Sun and will have a stronger effect as will the Mars station described below.  Mars is in your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, dreams, visions, confinement, seclusion, institutions, your subconscious mind and self-undoing. Once he stations your subconscious will helpfully lend some assistance so listen to your intuition.

Mars stations direct on 29 June after driving with the brakes on since mid-April. If you've felt as if you've been stuck in the mud and going nowhere fast, this is probably the reason. This is not always a bad thing, especially if you've been heading in the wrong direction, though sometimes pausing to look back is useful even when you're on the right track. Inspiration regarding issues that are highly emotional is possible, particularly as you follow your heart. The adage "those who fail to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it" applies, so make sure you have this lesson assimilated to avoid future reruns.
