New Moon/Solar Eclipse

This month's New Moon is also a solar eclipse, which gives it a lot more strength.  Eclipses have considerable staying power as well, meaning their influence may be felt before or even months after their occurrence.  Check the house placement for this lunation above and then watch that part of your life for something to come along, especially if your birthdate is within a day or so of the date indicated for the strongest influence.  The eclipse opposes Jupiter, who's retrograde in Virgo, sign of his traditional debility, which could bring a wealth of information your way, both of an intuitive and logical nature.  This could be a case of TMI, i.e. "too much information" and bring some level of confusion.  Go with your gut feeling, but don't be surprised if you find it all somewhat confusing. 

There are two overlapping aspect patterns further activated by this eclipse which have been hanging in there for quite some time since it involves the outer , slow-moving planets.  I generally refer to them as "course adjustment loops" which are best described as bringing a situation where what you've been doing is clearly not working, driving you to another course of action.  The good news is that the eclipse could be the vehicle to finally deliver the solution you've been looking for, which could introduce itself as an annoyance from the past that can be turned to your advantage with a bit of effort on your part.  An older person or authority figure may be helpful in bringing an innovative solution.  If you've been trying to extract data from someone or some other entity and having difficulty, you may be able to dig it up elsewhere.  If available, a friend in a high place may be helpful as well.  Be prepared to change course as a result, once you balance out all the pros and cons.

Full Moon

The Full Moon is a lunar eclipse, which gives it additional punch as well.  As a general rule, a solar eclipse brings events and situations while the lunar version is slightly more likely to pertain to emotional matters, perhaps even any repercussions brought about by said events.  The change of course element noted above has dissipated, which suggests you're either already heading in a different direction or perhaps now it's too late.  Reality may be clashing with fantasy or delusions that could be tremendously confusing until you sort things out, which probably won't be easy.  Once you figure things out, taking decisive action is favored which will probably be along a unique, unusual or even rebellious pathway that you will construct along the way.

Resolving old issues is favored as Chiron, "the wounded healer", joins the lunar South Node.  Venus in Pisces, sign of her exaltation, may bring a bit of extra luck your way as well, but be sure to show your gratitude and avoid being over-confident.

OTHER COSMIC EVENTS

This month your sign ruler, Saturn, goes retrograde (RX), which means that things can slow down as various obstacles, boundaries and delays come your way.  He stations in Sagittarius, your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, seclusion, confinement, institutions, your subconscious mind, hidden enemies and self-defeating behaviors.  Since Saturn RX tends to operate on the subconscious level and this is the house where that resides, it's highly likely that is where he'll be at work.  Since this will be at the subconscious level, by definition you may not have any clue what it's all about but it will relate to something that needs to be restructured or rebuilt.  You may not even be aware anything is going on until August, when it will surface and get your attention in some way.  At that point, if you take appropriate action, you should have it taken care of by November.

Saturn is at the apex of an aspect pattern known as a T-square which involves Venus in Pisces and Jupiter in Virgo.  Since these two are generally known as benefic planets, they may actually provide some leverage as opposed to true tension or challenges.  Venus, for example, is in the sign of her exaltation, where she functions better than any other sign, including Taurus and Libra, which she rules.  Pisces if your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel, so this suggests a lot of positive energy coming in, which you can control and encourage consciously, even if you don't know what Saturn's mission is.  Venus is opposing Jupiter in Virgo where he's in the sign of his traditional debility, which may calm down his expansive nature a bit.  In Virgo he can stir up too much criticism and detail, but Venus may provide the needed balance in that area.  Virgo is a fellow Earth Sign and your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, attitude, religion, politics, philosophy of life, higher learning, legal matters, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation.  A profusion of information or details may come your way from this arena, but you should be able to think your way through it.

Pluto, still hanging out in your sign, is mediating as well, which suggests taking control, learning from the past, and believing you have the power within you to accomplish anything you set out to do.  The Sun and Mercury in Aries, your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings, are chomping at the bit and ready to go, so if you know of anything you need to work on, you could get started on it, perhaps by meditating.  Innovation or a unique approach can help as well, if Saturn represents something that is stuck and needs to be released.
