New Moon/Solar Eclipse

This month's New Moon is also a solar eclipse, which gives it a lot more strength.  Eclipses have considerable staying power as well, meaning their influence may be felt before or even months after their occurrence.  Check the house placement for this lunation above and then watch that part of your life for something to come along, especially if your birthdate is within a day or so of the date indicated for the strongest influence.  The eclipse opposes Jupiter, who's retrograde in Virgo, sign of his traditional debility, which could bring a wealth of information your way, both of an intuitive and logical nature.  This could be a case of TMI, i.e. "too much information" and bring some level of confusion.  Go with your gut feeling, but don't be surprised if you find it all somewhat confusing. 

There are two overlapping aspect patterns further activated by this eclipse which have been hanging in there for quite some time since it involves the outer , slow-moving planets.  I generally refer to them as "course adjustment loops" which are best described as bringing a situation where what you've been doing is clearly not working, driving you to another course of action.  The good news is that the eclipse could be the vehicle to finally deliver the solution you've been looking for, which could introduce itself as an annoyance from the past that can be turned to your advantage with a bit of effort on your part.  An older person or authority figure may be helpful in bringing an innovative solution.  If you've been trying to extract data from someone or some other entity and having difficulty, you may be able to dig it up elsewhere.  If available, a friend in a high place may be helpful as well.  Be prepared to change course as a result, once you balance out all the pros and cons.

Full Moon

The Full Moon is a lunar eclipse, which gives it additional punch as well.  As a general rule, a solar eclipse brings events and situations while the lunar version is slightly more likely to pertain to emotional matters, perhaps even any repercussions brought about by said events.  The change of course element noted above has dissipated, which suggests you're either already heading in a different direction or perhaps now it's too late.  Reality may be clashing with fantasy or delusions that could be tremendously confusing until you sort things out, which probably won't be easy.  Once you figure things out, taking decisive action is favored which will probably be along a unique, unusual or even rebellious pathway that you will construct along the way.

Resolving old issues is favored as Chiron, "the wounded healer", joins the lunar South Node.  Venus in Pisces, sign of her exaltation, may bring a bit of extra luck your way as well, but be sure to show your gratitude and avoid being over-confident.

OTHER COSMIC EVENTS

This month Saturn stations retrograde (RX) in your sign and does so conjunct your natal Sun if your birthday is right around December 9.  In general, when Saturn is RX you encounter delays, limitations, boundaries and find things slowed down to a crawl as his ambitious, forward-driving energy is internalized.  While things around you may feel bogged down, he is also operating at the subconscious level, which will typically be off your radar.  About the time he stations direct in August whatever this issue is will surface to your conscious mind so you can deal with it.  With some luck and determination, you can have it resolved by November.  Saturn as he stations is at the apex of a mutable T-square, which will also effect the energy of this RX gig.  One is Venus in Pisces, your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings, and the other is Jupiter in Virgo, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. 

The good news is that Venus is exalted in Pisces so her influence should be positive, though the square may make it a little more of a challenge to access.  This could even represent spending more time and having a higher degree of appreciation toward your home life and family.  Jupiter, often considered benefic, is actually more neutral, simply expanding the energy of what he encounters for good or ill.  He should have a generally positive effect on your career and such but he's retrograde as well, which internalized his energy and makes it more philosophical.  As your sign ruler, you can probably relate to his energy in either condition.  In Virgo, he could be overwhelmed with details or over-critical.  This could also be a time when you're considering a career change.  This is a time to consider your needs and what you value and whether your daily activities are honoring them.

Mars in your sign may be urging you to pursue a creative project or idea.  The problem with this is that Mars goes retrograde, too, in April, which could throw all that into reverse.  Mars RX is a time when actions taken are often regretted or reversed later, so before you set out on any new paths, make sure you understand what you're taking on and what the cost may be, whether financial, mental or emotional.  As I noted in one of my science fiction novels, "There are no mistakes, only detours", which may help you see things philosophically, but make sure that detour isn't more than you care to take on.
