Full Moon

This month's Full Moon occurs on November 14 in Taurus. As a Fixed Earth sign, Taurus is stable and practical as well as sensual. Comfort and security, particularly financially, are important. Since a Full Moon typically indicates an ending, culmination, or shift to a new phase, perhaps a good use of this energy would be to reassess the areas of your life where you need more of these Taurean qualities. Uranus, the planet that rules sudden change, rebellion, disturbances, distractions, innovation and technology is tied in with this lunation, suggesting something that is likely to be an annoyance, at least at first, may nudge (or kick) you in a slightly different direction. This has the potential to be a blessing in disguise, so bear that in mind as you think through what you'll do in response.

Jupiter and Pluto are squared off with Jupiter always lending some extra punch. Anything he's involved with is going to be exaggerated; sometimes it's no more than hot air, other times a true inflation of the effects. Pluto tends to deal with corruption, old unresolved issues, power, control, and anything that needs to be cleaned up. Pluto is in Capricorn, the sign that rules corporations, government, authority figures, tradition and conservatism. This is certainly a target-rich environment for cleaning up a few things. Jupiter placed in Libra, the sign that rules relationships, implies seeing things philosophically may help. He also implies that many will be affected and that there is conflict involved.

Jupiter is sextile Saturn, the planet that rules structure, responsibility, and authority. This suggests an opportunity for implementing those qualities. If you encounter a big mess, then cleaning it up is likely to be more fruitful than covering it up. Taking action on information is advised as well. There will be more annoyances in doing so, particularly with regard to love and money, but these, also, can bring benefit in the long run.

New Moon

The New Moon this month is on November 29 in Sagittarius. This lunation is squared off with the lunar nodes, suggesting it will bring significant change. The lunation is strengthened by both Saturn and Mercury, also in Sagittarius, with both planets trining Uranus, the planet of sudden or unexpected events as well as change. Saturn, as noted above, rules structure and responsibility while Mercury rules ideas and information generally, so this implies building something based on new information.

The lunation, i.e. Sun/Moon conjunction, which is what constitutes a New Moon, is squaring Neptune. This suggests a new cycle that eschews deception. There has certainly been plenty of that afoot, sometimes self-imposed, so this is a time to open up your eyes and see things as they really are, whether it pertains to you personally or the world collectively.

Jupiter is quite involved in this lunation. There are likely to be some upheavals that threaten stability and Jupiter is suggesting that the best way to weather the storm is likely through strong ties to family and those whose advice you respect. He and Mars are pushing for action, but in a friendly, coordinated manner. There's more interference from the past or possibly those who won't relinquish control, even when it's called for, but this can be dealt with effectively by maintaining a clear view of the big picture. Perspective is more important than ever when sudden or disruptive change is upon you.

OTHER COSMIC EVENTS

Neptune stations direct on November 19/20, depending on where you live since it occurs in the evening in the USA. Thus, it will be November 20 for those in Europe and of course for those on the other side of the International Date Line as well. Retrograde planets internalize their energy and thus usually work at the subconscious level. Neptune is the modern ruler of the 12th house which includes such things as spirituality, inspiration, seclusion, enlightenment, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing. Neptune can bring inspiration, but he can also bring confusion, laziness, and delusions. I've heard many complain of "brain fog" the past few months and I'm one of them. This stationing suggests getting a clear vision  of what your needs are. For Crabs, this station takes place in your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, philosophy of life, legal matters, long-distance travel, other cultures and relocation. Take a close look to see if you are sabotaging yourself in some manner. It's bad enough when other people get in the way, but there are times when each of us can be our own worst enemy. You may try to see and admit this only to have a friend reassure you that it isn't true! It's nice of him or her to try and make you feel better, but doesn't help in the long run if you retreat back in your bubble. What is holding you back or keeping you from progressing where you want to be? Is it really outside forces or your own view of the world?

Finding those who can be supportive in a realistic manner is important, those who can support needed change as opposed to keeping you where you are. If someone doesn't want you to progress, then you need to take a close look at their motivation and why they want to keep you where you are. Remember that ignoring the facts does not change the facts. This is a time to see things as they really are and seek inspiration and insights rather than putting your head back in the sand.
