Full Moon

This month's Full Moon occurs on 15 October in Aries, first sign of the zodiac. Aries, ruled by Mars, has a lot of energy and drive that you can utilize for whichever part of your life this applies to as noted above. As a Full Moon, which is often a culmination or ending, it makes it an excellent time to wrap up a project or some other activity or perhaps kick it into the next phase. This lunation isn't particularly friendly, however, so here are a few things you need to know.

For starters, the Moon is conjunct Uranus, the planet that rules such things as disruptions, disturbances, surprises, unexpected events, flashes of brilliance (literally and figuratively), rebellion, breakthroughs, freedom and innovation. If this lunation connects with one of your planets this will have a stronger effect. The main thing to bear in mind is that there are likely to be some things that come up that could blindside you. Saturn is still squaring Neptune, another somewhat troublesome aspect for various reasons. Squares always bring tension, but these planets are about as opposite as they can get, increasing the conflict.  Neptune relates to dreams, escapism, idealism, delusions and illusions while Saturn is all about responsibility, structure, tradition and meeting your obligations. For example, depending on which houses this hits, you could have a tremendous desire to get away from anything that is stressing you out or holding you back from something you want. Getting up in the morning to go into work could be a real challenge. Mercury is sextile Saturn, however, which could bring the needed logic your way as well as appropriate thoughts to make balanced decisions.

Mars and Pluto are conjunct in Capricorn which is a lot of malefic energy as well. Mars, ruler of Aries, if loaded with energy that can often translate as aggression. Mars is exalted in Capricorn which provides structure and discipline for that energy, but it all really boils down to where it's directed and whether it's positive or negative. Pluto is about power and control but also about birth and death, transformation and eliminating what is no longer needed and thus a form of cleansing. Mercury is squaring Pluto which suggests this could involve information or news while Jupiter is in wide conjunction to Mercury and wide square to Mars, which can exaggerate the effects since Jupiter expands what he contacts. So whatever this is, could be a big one.

Jupiter is quincunx Neptune, suggesting a change of course, adjustment, Catch-22 or need to justify your position. This is a rather unstable aspect that is hard to predict, much like Uranus. Whatever you expect is not likely to be the result but something entirely different. Jupiter has an expansive effect while Neptune relates to dreams, visions, idealism, spirituality, delusions, illusions, liquids of all varieties, deception and escapism. This suggests an unstable situation related to large scale confusion.

The semisextile between Saturn and Mars brings friction and annoyances, which implies that an authority figure could be the catalyst for this. With the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter all in Libra, sign that rules relationships, it's likely that one or more of them will be involved as well. Venus is unaspected in Scorpio, making her a bit of a wildcard as well. She's in debility in that sign where her usual benefic nature is compromised. Thus her influence over love and money could be imbued with Scorpio's passion, obsession and related effects such as jealousy.

New Moon

The New Moon on 30 October is in Scorpio and conjunct Mercury, which implies thoughts, news or information will come out that also has the Scorpio spin. The Sun, Moon and Mercury are all trining Neptune in Pisces, a fellow Water Sign, which, given Neptune's wide variety of influences, could be interesting as well. Hopefully, with a trine, it will be more along the lines of inspiration, vision, compassion and spirituality as opposed to the down side of delusion, deception and lies. Trines represent an easy flow of energy but that doesn't mean that they're always of a positive nature. There's a lot of emotion in Water Signs.

Meanwhile, Mars is squaring Uranus, which is a fairly volatile mix. Uranus, as noted earlier, is unpredictable by nature, and Mars is loaded with energy and aggression plus the discipline of Capricorn. It doesn't take much creativity to see this as having the potential for an unexpected attack of some variety. Saturn is still squaring Neptune, though it's a fairly wide orb. Venus, however, is conjunct Saturn, both in Sagittarius, which has some interesting somewhat diverse vibes. This isn't exactly the warmest of combos, more likely Venus' material side will come out and make this about disciplined pursuit of wealth or perhaps knowledge. Both she and Saturn are semisextile Pluto, that aspect that brings annoyances or friction, which suggests the need for power or control may be the motivator. Jupiter quincunx Neptune is still in effect with the same meaning as the last paragraph under the Full Moon. Mercury is semisextile Jupiter, again indicating that information or news could be the catalyst. Hang on tight, looks like it will be an interesting month.
