NEW MOON 

The New Moon this month on 7 November is in Scorpio. The lunation trines Neptune, giving it an even more watery/emotional influence which can also help you get in touch with your dreams and something you're passionate about. This would be a favorable time to get started on something in that category that you've been neglecting. It's not always easy to pursue your dreams when you have bills to pay, but even a small step via a hobby or avocation could help set you in a new direction. 

Jupiter, who's just about ready to leave Scorpio, is hanging in there for this lunation and in partile quincunx with Uranus who has just stepped back into Aries via retrograde motion. This implies sudden change toward that desire of yours, at least on the mental level. This is a good thing because everything you ever accomplish has to start somewhere as an idea and your intent to do so. Jupiter is being squared by Mars in Aquarius, however, which suggests resistance or obstacles, perhaps due to other goals that have a higher priority or perhaps help from friends or groups which isn't coming your way as expected. Always remember when you're trying to get help from someone, especially an organization or a business, that they don't care a thing about what's in it for you. Thus, your appeal needs to address what's in it for them. If you can't come up with any reasons that it's in it for them, then don't expect anything in return. Friends may help because it makes them feel good to help or so that you owe them a favor. Remembering that caveat when you're going after anything can help turn the tide in your direction.

Venus is still retrograde for a little over a week. She and mars are in trine for the New Moon which has a comfortable feel for relationships, perhaps even jump-starting one or getting back in touch with someone you knew before. This Venus retrograde seems to have done a pretty good job of bringing good things to people that they have earned in the past. Venus is in her dignity in Libra, the sign that rules relationships, and Mars is in Aquarius, an air sign that rules friendships. Both are air signs, which opens up communications. A nice implication for this aspect is to do something nice for those who have been good to you. Venus is also opposing Uranus in Aries, which suggests not doing anything that's too abrupt or unconventional. Keep any expectations in line as well. This also discourages as sudden change with regard to a relationship, so even if you do get back with someone or a relationship shifts to a new level, do so in a logical way as opposed to doing anything rash or sudden. The fact that Uranus is in a T-square with the lunar nodes, which have just backed into Cancer and Capricorn respectively, is another indicator that major change is not going to proceed easily at this time.

FULL MOON

The Full Moon on 22 November is in Gemini. The Sun is conjunct Jupiter in Sagittarius, giving this lunation a rather nice boost of optimism and possibly luck, but there is also some caution flags involved to not be unrealistic. The Sun/Moon system is forming a T-square with Mars in Pisces, which isn't exactly the best place for fiery Mars. He's likely to be a bit unrealistic, prone to daydream, or be generally unmotivated or even confused. You may have so many ideas that you don't know where to start. Note that Mercury is retrograde at this time and squaring Neptune, which definitely looks like some confusion. It's also a poor time to start a new endeavor. Rather, it's the time to rethink, research, reconsider and revamp any plans as opposed to initiating action. Mars and Saturn are sextile, which is helpful for putting those dreams into a concrete plan of action. Use this time to work on that. Remember, also, that a full moon typically indicates an ending, culmination, or shift to a new phase.

Venus, now direct, is opposing Uranus, so she's also advising against any sudden change. Any impulsive relationship issues need to be avoided. There is little out there that will favor doing something that is not well thought out, but Mercury will help you rethink the situation and get your ducks in a row for action later on when the cosmos is more supportive.

OTHER COSMIC EVENTS

Venus stations direct on 16 November at 25:15 Libra. She is opposing Uranus, so this reinforces the admonition associated with the Full Moon approximately a week later to avoid impulsive decisions and actions. She is semisextile the Sun in Scorpio, a minor aspect that often brings an annoyance or irritation. This implies that denying whatever it is you may be inclined to be impulsive about is going to be frustrating. However, this aspect also tends to be a blessing in disguise. If you put some effort behind it, it tends to turn to your advantage. For example, you may want to buy something, but they run out of the item, perhaps selling it to the person in front of you in line. However, a while later, that same item will be on sale, making the wait worth it.

The Moon in Pisces is sextile Saturn for the station, which suggests help in building a plan to achieve your dreams and emotional needs. This is good, but also supports taking your time and proceeding in a realistic manner. Mercury and Neptune are squared off, which tends to bring confusion or unrealistic ideas. With Mercury in Sagittarius, they may be too grandiose and need to be scaled back.

Approximately four hours after Venus stations direct, Mercury stations retrograde at 13:30 Sagittarius. Thus, the two charts are virtually identical, other than the Moon moving about two degrees. In both cases, Luna is between Mars and Neptune, so she's still throwing some strong emotional punch into those dreams and what you want. However, while she's sextile Saturn for Venus stationing, that aspect has passed and now she's squaring Mercury. This chart is not particularly friendly, the closest thing to a favorable aspect that semisextile between the Sun and Venus mentioned above. Mercury RX is always a time to rethink, revise, reconsider, and so forth as opposed to moving forward. Thus, no matter how much you may have cooked something up you want to do, bear in mind that it may not be as great of an idea as you may think and this delay is very likely doing you a favor. Anything that is a work in progress is likely to stall and hit some speedbumps as well. This will be telling you it's time to rethink, and so forth. Look at what you've gotten done so far and any way in which you can improve upon it before going any farther.

Neptune is one of my least favorite planets and I was a bit amused when I noticed I had neglected to show his retrograde period in the top of these horoscopes. In my opinion, he can really muck things up, cause confusion, laziness, and generally send you off into Lalaland. He stations at 13:42 Pisces and while he's not squaring Mercury or anything else for his station, Mercury stationed squaring Neptune. Hahahaha, I'll bet that's confusing, and a case in point. The effects are most likely going to bring confusion or an infusion of ridiculously unfeasible ideas. If you have planets at 13 degrees you're likely to feel these stations. I do, and I'm bracing myself. :-( Mars is the most active planet in this chart and he's up to no good. As noted earlier, Mars in Pisces isn't a very comfortable placement. What comes to mind is a collie in a swimming pool, having lots of fun, but not really accomplishing anything other than contributing hair to your pool filter and getting you wet when he shakes likes crazy when he gets out. Mars is squaring Mercury, Jupiter and the Sun, all in Sagittarius, and this is what is saying that ideas, optimism, taking action on your belief systems, or something to gain attention are not likely to work out.

The sextile between Mars and Saturn does show the possibility of building a plan, but take it slowly and it's probably best not to take it too seriously. Mercury semisextile Saturn is another caution flag that annoyances are likely. That said, however, Neptune direct should be slightly better than retrograde. Neptune is the planet that takes you to other dimensions, brings enlightenment and inspiration, so at some point while he's direct, there should be some opportunity to define your dreams. Venus and Uranus are STILL opposing, so impulsive action on a relationship is a big no-no all month. The Moon is trining Venus from Gemini, which may be the primary logical aspect out there. The Moon in Gemini throws some logic into the emotion, so this should help you think through any relationship issues that come to your attention during this time.
