Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month the Full Moon occurs on April 9th in Libra, your 5th House of creativity, ego expression, children, entertainment, romance and speculation. A Full Moon typically indicates a culmination, so expect something in this area of your life to either draw to a close or shift to a different phase. Remember that a Full Moon is, by definition, an opposition between the Sun and Moon. Then think of the Moon as your emotions and the Sun as your conscious mind. The Moon in your 5th House indicates that is where your emotional focus lies, while the Sun in Aries, your 11th House of groups, friends, associations, as well as hopes & wishes, indicates that is where your conscious thoughts are currently directed. Think about what's going on in your life right now and see if you can identify something from each of those areas that are engaged in a tug-o-war. A Full Moon has a character all its own, based on the other aspects that accompany it and this frequently drives the emphasis for the entire month, coupled with the New Moon; something in your life ends and something new takes it place. This Full Moon includes several interest aspects. For one thing, Mars and Saturn are also in opposition. Mars is in your 10th House of career and reputation and Saturn is in your 4th House of home environment. That these two are in opposition probably isn't rocket science to most of you because home and career are always going to be pulling us in two different directions. This is exacerbated by the fact that Mars is all about drive and energy whereas Saturn is about responsibility and delays. Saturn has been retrograde since New Years Eve, the message of which is that something in this area needs to be restructured in some way. Thus, it's pretty likely that you want to move ahead in your career or some other pursuit while things at home are holding you back and need to be rearranged in some way or another. A change of course is required, which will involve either your ego, children, romantic interests, hobbies, or anything else you really like to do versus all those things related to your career that you're trying to pursue. Some transformations will be forthcoming that relate to your group associations, friends, or hopes and wishes. These may be forced upon you, such as the realization that as a typical Gemini you're trying to do too much and there simply aren't enough hours in the day to do everything you'd like to do. There are some favorable aspects out there, however, that will offer some assistance in solving these dilemmas. First of all, you'll be able to see things at a deeper level than before, which will help you sort things out and assess your priorities. There is also an aspect pattern known as a Triangle of Potential that involves Jupiter making a favorable aspect to both the Sun and Moon, which will further mediate your dilemma. Jupiter is in your 9th House of beliefs & expectations, long-distance travel, relocation, higher learning, and legal matters, implying an expansion of one of these areas will help solve that conflict between your head and heart. There are too many possibilities to ever capture them all, but you should be able to identify something in your life that fits into these molds. Maybe you're not able to pursue what you really want to do deep inside to find the satisfaction you need because you're too tied down with outside obligations. Career opportunities are looming while the situation at home really requires more of your time and attention. However, if you get your beliefs and expectations lined up, you may find a solution. Maybe you need to go back to school or consider that transfer to another town. There's a lot to consider, but something about your life is going to shift this month, like it or not. The New Moon on the 24th occurs in Taurus, your 12th House of spirituality, dreams, and inspiration. However, this House also comprises hidden enemies, confinement, institutions and self-undoing. If you recall those old-time cartoons where the main character was being taunted by an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other, and note that both of them had hailed from his or her 12th House, then you get the idea. There are a few challenges coming with this New Moon that are going to give you quite a bit to think about. Some of these things are going to relate back to that 9th House of beliefs and so forth; bear in mind that both politics and religion lie in this House as well. A career change may be beckoning, also. There's a nice conjunction between Mars and Venus out there that bodes well for romantic relationships and looks as if it may originate from within one of the groups you're currently associated with. This, too, will have a transformational effect, though a shift in your view of the world is probably exactly what you need in order to see the answers you seek. Daily and Short-term Aspects The planets have been moving around the Zodiac in what looks like a 750 meter event with the main players clustered primarily within three different signs, which makes for some heavy influences in those specific areas. On the 3rd, a change of course will be introduced that relates to your home in some way. There's a chance that you may get a glimpse of something you'd really like to pursue and this vision kicks off those transformational effects that are coming as the month progresses. Various ideas will come your way related to one of those groups you're tied into, whether it's an organization, volunteer group, or even your coworkers. That career versus home situation is also going to start to heat up, calling for adjustments in the time you spend with that group or your friends, though the distraction could also be whatever it is you have deep in your heart that you want to go for. Geminis are known for spreading themselves too thin with all their many interests, and you're not going to get away with it as easily this month as others. Dreams and your imagination are going to be active as well. All of these events will lead up to that Full Moon, which will bring that culmination spoken of earlier. Venus backs into Pisces, your 10th House of career and reputation, on the 11th. Venus has been retrograde since March and her function in this state is to bring our attention to something we've been neglecting. She's spent most of this time in your House of groups or perhaps dusting off your hopes and wishes, but until the 24th she's going to be bringing your attention to a few things related to your career. About that same time, you'll receive some extra assistance in determining what is really important to you and what really deserves your time. This will be one of those transformations in the early stages where you figure something out that causes one of those "Aha!" moments, after which we're never quite the same again. April 15th holds a surprise, unexpected event, or disruption that also likely to hail from your career. This will also bring plenty to think about that will affect your beliefs on a spiritual level. Venus goes direct on the 16th, which will probably bring whatever you've been ignoring in that area to get your attention as well. Thoughts and understanding at a deep level regarding the deeds of someone or something related to your home sill surface a few days later. The Sun goes into Taurus on the 19th, bringing further emphasis to those 12th House matters. Venus and Mars will be in exact conjunction on the 21st, so make sure to spend some time with your significant other that day. All those ideas and challenges to your beliefs are starting to line up that relate to the New Moon, so it's time to figure out what you're leaving behind and what is going to take its place, if you haven't already. There's a tremendous amount of mental and spiritual action this month. You're going to be looking at where you spend most your time and energy as well as where your heart really lies. Determining whether your priorities are appropriate will also be on the agenda and you'll discover some areas of your life where some adjustments are definitely appropriate. The emphasis for most the month will be on your group associations, or perhaps hopes and wishes you've been neglecting for too long. Your spiritual health and well-being will be coming under scrutiny as well, with more to follow next month. Balance is the key and this is the month to see if you're there or bouncing all around with little or no direction. As hectic as everything will probably be, it will be difficult to find some quiet time, but do it however you can as it's only in a peaceful and quiet environment that you'll be able to find the answers you need.
