Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon this month on April 9th occurs in Libra, your 6th House of work, health, and pets. As you probably know if you’re a regular visitor is that a Full Moon usually indicates a culmination of some description. This could be an ending or simply something associated with this astrological house moving into a different phase. Lunations, like eclipses, have a character of their own, though their effects don’t last as long. This character will be supported by the daily transits as events transpire through which our lives evolve. For this Full Moon the Sun is in Aries, your 12th House of spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, and dreams as well as, on the darker side, hidden enemies, confinement and institutions. This part of your life will be highlighted for the entire time that the Sun is in Aries, so if you’ve been neglecting anything related to this house expect you attention to be drawn to it in some way. The Moon is in your 6th House of work, health and pets, as noted earlier. A typical manifestation of this combination could be the discovery that you’re really in the wrong line of work, that someone in the workplace is trying to undermine you, that it’s time to move on career-wise, or it could also relate to your health, particularly if you’ve been under a lot of emotional stress which typically has a negative affect on your physical health. Jupiter, who’s in your 10th House of career and reputation, is tied into both the Sun and Moon in an aspect pattern known as a Triangle of Potential. This aspect will mitigate the trying character of an opposition with favorable aspects that bring opportunities and positive energy. In this case, Jupiter is sextile the Sun and trine the Moon. With Jupiter, which tends to bring us luck and expand upon situations when favorably aspected, in your 10th House, this should bode well for finding career opportunities that will have a beneficial effect. It is going to require some emotional adjustments, particularly for those of you born within a day or so of May 10, for whom this will have more significance that others. The message of this lunation for you will probably be to seek a position that brings you more emotional satisfaction. As a Fixed Sign, Bulls don’t embrace change. However, if you’re in a situation that really isn’t satisfying, this is going to wear on you over time and ultimately affect your health, well-being, and general attitude. Rectifying such a situation is likely to involve not only changing your job description (or health habits, if your particularly issue is more in that area) but this will also affect changing your associations. Maybe your coworkers will make this easy for you by being less than pleasant, or maybe you’ll realize they’re really not “your kind of people,” but then again they could be your best friends in all the world. Another possibility, which would be the most favorable situation, is that one of your friends or associates from some other venue puts you in touch with the right opportunity to move forward. Remember, it’s not what you know but who you know. So, if that job is getting you down, ask your friends and associates if there are any opportunities for you where they work and see what happens. If you’re having health issues, this is a wake-up call to get your life in order. Most disease evolves from emotional issues that we’re suppressing, though of course bad habits like eating unhealthy food or lack of exercise can be a player as well. If this sounds about right to you, then this Full Moon will help motivate you to do something about it. Again, your friends may be able to lend a hand. There is nothing that helps a person stay on a fitness program better than a work-out or walking buddy. Hopefully, the worst of winter weather is now behind us and it’s a good time to get out and move. Ask around and see who’s in a similar situation as yourself and do something about it this month, while the Universe is offering a helping hand. Making either a job or health habit change will require some deep introspection. Maybe you’ve been in a job because it pays well, which would have a lot of appeal to you Bulls who enjoy material security as well as the various pleasures money can bring, such as good food and drink. However, if your soul is aching from its lack of expression in a boring or unsatisfying job, this will not be worth it in the long-haul, so take a long, hard look at what you’re doing, whether it’s in your best interest, and what course changes you need to make to get everything lined up in a more fitting way. The New Moon on April 24th is in your 1st House of personality. If that happens to be your birthday or it lies within a day or so, expect something new and significant to come into your life. This lunation is trailing a few challenges which will be concentrated around those career issues noted earlier. Endings and beginnings usually go together, so whatever the Full Moon is telling you is coming to a close will go hand in hand with whatever the New Moon is pushing you toward. If you are resisting change, it’s time to give some serious thought to why. Once you figure that out, you’ll find it easier to move on. Again, it’s time to examine your core beliefs and expectations at a deep and soul-searching level. Find the roots of your current situation, then decide what you need to do to be in a more favorable position. If you’ve been fooling yourself, it’s time to confront reality, whatever it looks like. When all is said and done, you’ll be glad you did. Saturn is still retrograde in your 5th House of children, romance, ego, creativity, entertainment, and speculation, indicating there is something in that part of your life that requires restructuring as well. If you haven’t figured out yet what that it, it should be forthcoming soon, or by mid-May when Saturn goes direct. If you’ve been experiencing delays and frustrations in this part of your life this is the cause, but it’s trying to tell you something. As always, when the Universe speaks it’s a good idea to listen up. Daily and Short-term Aspects On April 3rd Mercury will quincunx Saturn, which should help you connect to your spiritual self and hopefully identify what Saturn is trying to remodel in your 5th House. This will have the assistance of your Sign Ruler, Venus, who will be squared off with Pluto, helping you delve into your beliefs to see where the hang-up lies. This could also be associated with higher education, relocation, or legal issues in some way. If you’ve been resisting going back to school, moving, or perhaps something in the legal arena, it’s time to give it close scrutiny. Inspiration regarding those career issues is out there the next day, so pay attention. At that same time, Saturn and Mars will be in opposition, implying a potential tug-o-war between moving forward with your hopes and wishes and your obligations. Saturn is all about responsibility and authority, so in your 5th House, which includes your children, this could possibly present a situation where you want to pursue something with your friends or that you’ve been wanting to do, but your obligations get in the way. This will require a change of course of some description that you should address, but within a day or some inspiration should come along to help figure it out. Shortly after that, the Full Moon will occur on the 9th. On the 11th, Venus goes into Pisces, your 11th House of groups, friends, coworkers, organizations, and hopes and wishes. Venus has been retrograde since March 6 with most of that time spent stirring things up in your 12th House of spirituality. Venus RX calls our attention to those things we’ve been neglecting. She’ll spend a short time in your 11th House then go direct a few days later on the 16th. During these few days take a few moments to consider what she’s trying to tell you. Mercury and Pluto will be helping you do some soul-searching regarding your beliefs during this same time as well. Come April 15, which usually isn’t a day we think of with any degree of fondness, a surprise, unexpected event, or disruption is going to occur, probably with respect to a group you’re associated with, though it could also pertain to your hopes and wishes. Bear in mind that opportunity lies in chaos, so look beneath the surface for what’s in it for you. On the 18th expect some good ideas or news pertaining to those obligations noted earlier. These obligations could also be to yourself so give that some thought as well. Remember if you don’t take good care of yourself chances are no one else will, either. The Sun goes into Taurus on the 19th, which will bring his energy into your part of the world. This is the time of your Solar Return, when the Sun passes the position it was in when you were born and begins a new cycle for you as well. Now is a good time to review what you accomplished in the past twelve months and what you’d like to do in the year to come. Right around the 21st your spiritual values will receive a boost of some sort along with a challenge related to that career or public image issue. Getting in touch with your core beliefs and expectations is particularly favored at this time so make sure you take some time for quiet contemplation. The New Moon comes along on the 24th, so make sure you’re ready to utilize it. This month will be one of soul-searching and preparing for some changes. If there is anything in your life that has been less than satisfying, now is the time to address it. Change isn’t easy for Bulls, but if you keep on doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep on getting what you’ve always got.
