Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month we have another Full Moon/lunar eclipse which will further reinforce the ones we had in July. It hails from the same Saros family and will thus also influence such things as sudden reforms, the necessity for approaching problems in a new way, and potentially the forceful removal of obstacles. A lunar eclipse tends to affect us at the internal level where as solar eclipses are more likely to influence the events around us. However, in this case it can motivate us to take action, depending on what it stirs up. This one occurs on August 5 in Aquarius, your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters, long-distance travel and relocation. If your birthday is within a few days of June 4 it will have an even stronger impact, but its location in a fellow Air Sign will bode well as the Moon is in a favorable trine to your natal Sun and the Sun in a friendly sextile to the same; for those of you born at other times within Gemini it will still be favorable since it will influence your natal 1st House. These days we need to grab such good fortune in whatever way we can and run with it. One aspect grouping to watch for is a Triangle of Potential between Pluto, Venus and your Sign Ruler, Mercury, at the apex and thus the driver of the result. Areas of your life in which this may appear include your home, possessions, relationships, and finances with whatever occurs likely to have a transformational effect. Pluto is in your 8th House of sex, death, transformations, and shared resources, i.e. other people's money. Thus all these planets are in sensitive areas that will have an emotional impact, but this is generally a favorable aspect if for no other reason than it implies you have control of the situation, particularly with your Sign Ruler in the driver's seat. It appears that some news or idea related to your home or people in it will present a favorable financial opportunity, though it may require some deep, transformational changes on your part, meaning it will require some restructuring of how you see something in one of these areas. In other words, you'll never see something the same way again and will be a slightly different albeit wiser person as a result. Since you Twins tend to be highly intelligent and catch on quickly anyway, plus the fact you're a Mutable Sign, this should fit in well with your personal evolutionary journey. The New Moon on August 20 contains a plethora of aspects that are going to be stirring things up in a variety of ways, though the duration of these influences will be less prolonged than for an eclipse. The New Moon itself occurs in Leo, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and short journeys. If your birthday is right around June 19 this will have a stronger effect. Look for an opportunity of some sort to come you way accompanied by a strong drive from Mars to move forward with it. However, there are a few things to watch out for as well that will probably interfere with those plans due to a T-square between Uranus, Saturn, Mercury and Mars. If your career situation has been unstable for quite a while or your public image shifting all over the map thanks to Uranus in your 10th House, expect that to be a factor. Mercury and Saturn are in your 4th House of home environment; Mercury will undoubtedly liven things up there as far as discussions with family members are concerned and Saturn will continue the increased emphasis on responsibilities and obligations. Saturn is the author of hard lessons and instilling wisdom through experience and he's been grinding away on your home life for almost two years. (I know, tell you something you didn't know, right?) At any rate, any thoughts you may have for moving forward are going to be entangled in career and family concerns which are going to necessitate a few adjustments to your way of thinking. However, any changes afoot should have a favorable effect on your finances. Another active area for you is your 8th House as Pluto grinds away on such things as transformations, sex, death and other people's money. These are the experiences after which we are a different person and see the world in a different way. This New Moon will bring some new thoughts and perspectives to mind as well, some of which will require adjustments to your career or reputation or create a Catch-22. In addition, your existing beliefs and expectations have been under review for a while and this will not only continue for quite a while but have some significant milestones this month. This is due to that stellium comprising Neptune, the asteroid, Chiron, and Jupiter which is currently in your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, long-distance travel, legal matters, and higher education. All three of them are retrograde, internalizing the energy until late this year by which time they all have resumed direct motion and reconvene again in conjunction. During this transit you will question and review various elements in this part of your life, expand upon some and watch others dissolve. Considerations in this area are also likely to present a speedbump pertaining to that new idea that comes your way. If you can't make a few changes, you may not be able to move forward. Another interesting aspect associated with the New Moon is a double yod that involves Venus, Saturn, Mercury, and the stellium noted above. The stellium is at the apex, making it the focus of the adjustments that need to be made to your beliefs or other 9th House elements which are mentioned in the preceding paragraph. To reiterate, some areas will expand while others evaporate, with the process probably not entirely painless. If you can accomplish that, then opportunities for financial blessings that could hail from home could be yours. There's a lot going on and it's all going to tie together some how. Daily and Short-term Aspects August 1 - 3: Be prepared to look long and hard at your finances, values and possessions with a mind to the past. Consider what has worked in this area for you and what hasn't, then give some serious thought to the quote "If you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll keep on getting what you've always got." This pertains particularly to your home environment. August 5: See the write-up above for the Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse. August 7: Look for financial opportunities at home, either to earn more money or save what you have. August 10: Responsibilities at home are going to get in the way of something you want to do. Do the right things without giving up. August 13 - 14: Pursuing those personal ambitions could get a boost from something today. This could be anything from a shift in your core beliefs to a legal matter, something or someone that involves another culture, or even a long journey or relocation. Let your beliefs wander somewhere they haven't been before and see what they find. Hint: Think ethics. August 17: The planets are getting lined up for that New Moon so take a hard look at what's going on with that above. Expect news related to your home responsibilities in some way and also the birth of that idea you'd like to pursue. Make sure you don't stay so busy today that you miss it. August 18: Be prepared to make some changes or adjustments, particularly as they pertain to your career or public image. Don't be surprised if you encounter some sort of confrontation today. August 19: Be thinking some more about your home situation, finances and your beliefs and expectations. If you have a legal matter in progress, involvement with an institution of higher learning (which most Geminis have), are planning a relocation or some other 9th House issue, you will probably find yourself in either a Catch-22 or other situation that requires some adjustments somewhere. Primarily make sure your expectations aren't unrealistic. August 20: New Moon today, so see above. August 22 - 23: The Sun goes into Virgo, your 4th House of home environment, bringing further emphasis to what's going on there. If you've been unrealistic about your finances, now is the time to face the music. This will bring about a positive change that will result in a major transformation if you'll let it. If you're trying to borrow money such as refinancing your house or something along those lines, things should go well. Challenges from home relative to your plans are also likely to an issue, however. August 25: Mercury, your Sign Ruler, goes into Libra, your 5th House of creativity, ego, self-expression, children, romance and entertainment, stimulating thoughts, ideas, and perhaps news in that regard for the next few weeks. Mars also goes into Cancer, your 2nd House of finance, values and possessions. This could bring a breakdown or unexpected expenditure so be prepared and don't make any foolish purchases. Salespersons may be particularly aggressive. August 26: Your ego could be threatened by something today. Also be particularly careful as far as accidents are concerned. Drive carefully, pursue chores and yardwork in a careful manner, and take care of yourself generally. August 27: Venus goes into Leo, bringing optimism to your thoughts and good fortune for any short journeys. August 28: Creativity will be strong today, so use it wisely.
