Lunations and Long Term Aspects

This month we have a pair of eclipses ramping up the effects of the Full and New Moon. Eclipses belong to specific "families" that endow them with certain characteristics. In this case they're all about sudden reforms, abandoning old, ineffective methods and discovering new ways to handle old problems. If there are obstacles in the way, they could be removed in a sudden, perhaps even forceful manner.

The Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon occurs on July 7 in Capricorn, your 10th House of career and reputation. You can thus expect to see some changes in this area. "Career" in this context is slightly different than the way most people think of it in that it doesn't necessary mean your day job. This is the part of your life for which you'll be remembered, be part of your public image, and bring you the most satisfaction. I saw a classic example of this a while back in the story of a retired farmer who had spent 33,000 hours building an intricately detailed model of Herod's temple as described in the Bible. Clearly this is the mark he'll leave on the world, where his figurative light shines regardless of how successful he may have been as a farmer. Sometimes our most significant efforts don't earn a dime; others we're fortunate enough that our "day job" and "career" are combined. At any rate, you can expect something to culminate in this area, especially if your birthday is right around April 5th.

The Solar Eclipse/New Moon on July 21 is in Cancer, your 4th House of home environment. This will have the strongest effect on those of you with birthdays within a few days of April 19. Something new is coming your way in this area of your life. It's going to involve some adjustments and significant remodeling that may come in the form of a major disruption that facilitates the change, yet will ultimately turn out to your satisfaction. An objective assessment of whether or not you're paid enough to justify the level of responsibility you're carrying at work is another seed being planted by this eclipse. Expressing your thoughts in a direct manner will feed your ego, but others may not find it as palatable, so choose your words and body language carefully.

That lingering triple conjunction comprising Jupiter, Neptune and the asteroid, Chiron over there in Aquarius, your 11th House of friends, groups, organizations, hopes and wishes will continue to influence this part of your life in a way that spells opportunity, particularly for those of you born between April 12 - 17. With Jupiter and Neptune involved, a bubble bursting is implied that splash on a few things that initially looks like a mess. Given time and the correct action, however, you should be able to use this developing situation to your advantage.

Short Term/Daily Aspects

July 1 - 2 your attention will be drawn to that triple conjunction noted above by news or information that gives you a few things to think about in this part of your life. Your finances may be affected unexpectedly in an unpleasant manner, possibly through the action of someone trying to undermine you or even your own poor decisions. Keep a lid on any impulsive spending at this time. On July 3 Mercury moves into Cancer, your 4th House of home environment, which will stimulate communications in that part of your life. On the 3rd information will surface that puts a new spin on the ongoing struggle between home and career/public image. On July 5 Venus moves into Gemini, which will sweeten your communications and make others more receptive to what you have to say for the rest of the month.

Your thoughts toward your friends, coworkers, or any other groups you're associated with may seem logical enough initially, but are likely to evaporate before your eyes or prove to be inaccurate right around July 6. Adjustments to your career goals, possibly due to finances, will be on the agenda that day as well and be building up to that bursting bubble noted earlier. On the 9th responsibilities at work will have a favorable affect on something going on at home. On July 10 that Jupiter-Neptune conjunction is exact, so if that bubble hasn't burst before it probably will now. Your Sign Ruler, Mars, goes into Gemini, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys on July 11. This will make your thoughts and ideas more aggressive so make a conscious effort to drop it down a notch, particularly if you notice people backing away from you very slowly. More home/work opportunities are out there on the 12th; these could also involve work at home such as repairs, chores or projects. On the 14th the Sun and Mercury will form a conjunction, bringing some lively and interesting conversations and ideas flowing on the home front.

From July 14 - 16 expect some more action relative to whatever is going on with your friends, coworkers, or hopes and wishes. New information, which you will probably actively uncover, will cause you to make some adjustments to your plans as a result of some unexpected insights; these, however, should be a good thing. Mercury goes into Leo on July 17th, which will facilitate communications and creative ideas, perhaps involving your children, love interest, or hobbies. About that same time the Sun then Mercury will quincunx Neptune and Jupiter, dispelling any doubts you may have had about the necessity of tweaking your interactions with your friends, coworkers, any organizations you're involved with or those hopes and wishes you've been kicking around. An unexpected revelation pertaining to your home situation is coming on the 19th followed by some ideas on how to handle it on the 20th.

On the 21st expect to deal with a heavy workload imbued with responsibilities; the Sun goes into Leo on the 22nd, bring emphasis to your 5th House of children, lovers, creativity, ego, and entertainment. The Sun will quincunx Pluto on the 23rd, bringing some changes to your course and you come up with some new creative approaches you hadn't thought of before relative to your career aspirations. Between the 27th - 28th some more good ideas will come your way pertaining to that 11th House group situation, but make sure it really is as good as it sounds and not an illusion. Watch your back at this time and don't trust anything that seems like inspiration because it's probably only a pipedream or motivated by a sense of rebellion that won't help your case.

On July 31st Venus goes into Cancer, bringing some luck and love to your home environment, which you can probably use. Meanwhile, at that same time, any creative ideas you may have won't fly with whomever you're trying to sell them to, so expect to change your approach. Pay attention and some inspiration should come your way to help figure things out.

This month there will obviously be a lot going on with that ongoing situation relative to your coworkers, organizational involvements, friends, your hopes and wishes or possible all of the above. Things at home are going to keep you busy and don't forget about the message inherent in the eclipses regarding sudden reforms and finding new methods. Breaking new ground is a no-brainer to an Aries so amidst the challenges you will find the stimulation you need to keep life interesting.
