Lunations and Long-Term Aspects

Until the 20th of this month the Sun is transiting Gemini, your 12th House of spirituality, enlightenment, dreams, institutions, confinement and hidden enemies, which will highlight this part of your life. Then, as I'm sure you know, he'll move into Cancer, bringing his light to you and marking your Solar Return, a.k.a. birthday, which begins a new cycle for you.

The Full Moon occurs on June 7 in Sagittarius, your 6th House of work, health and pets. Since the Full Moon typically brings a culmination of some sort, expect something regarding one of these areas to shift to a new phase or perhaps be completed. This could be a special project at work or something you've been working on at home. If you've been sitting on something that really needs to get finished up, now is the time to do so.

This lunation has some interesting aspects associated with it which will further color its influence. First of all there's a T-square created by Saturn parked in Virgo, halfway between the Sun and Moon. Saturn is in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, like-minded people, and short journeys. This looks like a golden opportunity to give some serious thought to your job and whether it's bringing you the satisfaction you need on the mental, emotional, spiritual and financial level. We spend a tremendous amount of time at work and if it's not feeding your soul as well as your pocketbook, it may be time to consider the price you'll ultimately pay. If you dread getting up in the morning and are totally depleted and bummed out when you get home, you might want to think about how much longer you want to continue in this fashion. As a Cardinal Sign, you're not lacking in a sense of responsibility or motivation. In fact, if someone is micromanaging you it's not likely to be very effective other than to irritate you. If you're not functioning up to your abilities for lack of opportunities, it's a good time to start looking for them, either at your current place of employ or perhaps elsewhere.

Another aspect worth noting is a trine between Pluto in Capricorn, your 7th House of relationships, and Mars and Venus who are closing in on each other in Taurus, your 11th House of groups, organizations, coworkers, friends, and hopes and wishes. Pluto has been calling your attention to your relationships for about a year now and this will continue for several years, especially when he's opposite your Natal Sun. This is going on if your birthday is on June 24th, give or take a day. If there's anyone in your life who you'd be better off without this is probably becoming harder and harder to ignore. There are also lessons to be learned and assimilated related to the dynamics of these relationships. Remember if you keep on doing what you've always done you'll keep on getting what you've always got.

The Mars/Venus pair in Taurus will generally make everyone either closer to their significant other or, if you don't currently have one, motivate you to find one. The fact that they're located in your 11th House of groups, organizations, friends, and coworkers implies that this may be a target-rich environment for finding someone. It could also signify that socializing with your friends with your significant other will bring some positive experiences and enjoyment your way that could have the additional benefits of helping flush out and resolve old issues you've been ignoring.

The aspect that really has some interesting potential is that triple conjunction a.k.a. stellium comprising Jupiter, Neptune, and the asteroid, Chiron, in Aquarius, your 8th House of transformations, shared resources, sex, death and regeneration. These are the experiences that transform us to a new place in life or understanding from which we don't return. These are the things that happen to us which we cannot ignore or undo after which we're a slightly different person. This stellium is going to be hanging out in this neighborhood for the entire summer, will separate for a while in the fall, and then reconvene around December/January. Furthermore, these are somewhat of a woo-woo planetary/asteroid combo, making it even more interesting, especially this month while the Sun is strolling through your 12th House.

The best way to try and explain the effect is to explain the effect of each element. Jupiter is the great expander who inflates and enlarges those things he touches. He also influences our beliefs and philosophy of life as the ruler of the Zodiacal 9th House. Neptune brings inspiration, dreams, and enlightenment, but he's equally responsible for delusions, illusions, and deception. He operates in an invisible realm that is just beyond our reach and comprehension. Chiron, the wounded healer, is the astrological entity that influences the types of wounds we acquire during our life experience and how we use them to help others.

Throw all these together in your 8th House and it looks like you'll be expanding your spiritual insights in such a way that will enable you to help others. This could come about due to news or information coming your way from either a friend or organization with which you're affiliated, where you're called upon to lend assistance. Something unexpected could trigger the process, whether it's an event or simply a shift in your awareness. Whatever it turns out to be, either this situation or a series that fits the same mold will be moving in and out of your life for the next few months, so turn up your awareness to what it might be so as to extract the greatest learning experiences possible from this astrological tutoring. If your birthday falls within a day one way or the other of July 19 this should be easy to identify and ultimately place you on a slightly different course than you're on now.

The New Moon on June 22nd falls in your Sign, and if your birthday is June 23, give or take a day, this will not only influence you for the coming month but the entire year as well since it will be included in your Solar Return. This lunation is also opposite Pluto in your 7th House of relationships, as mentioned earlier for those with birthdays on June 24th, and will have the same effect of remodeling any relationships that need such. Mars and Venus will be in the same degree at this time, further firing up any inclinations you may have toward your existing significant other or finding one. Thoughts of committing to a relationship or at least increasing the responsibilities involved in one or more are also highly likely considering Saturn is throwing a nice trine in their direction. All that Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron business is still out there as well, though it should be slightly more subtle now than it was for the Full Moon, where something probably brought it to your attention.

Daily and Short-term Aspects

The month starts out with some favorable public attention which may introduce you to a situation where those transformations can take place. Be aware that this could very well be all on the mental, emotional and spiritual plane. On the 3rd an occurrence or comment from a friend or coworker could get you thinking about a relationship. Thoughts regarding responsibility, both your own and that of others, will get your attention on the 5th and proper action on your part will be to your advantage. The Full Moon occurs on the 7th followed by more pleasant interactions with your friends or other group that keep nudging that relationship issue. A comment or news, again coming from your friends, will get your thinking about a few things that are different than your usual approach. Don't shy away, but take a good, hard look to see what is trying to get your attention.

Around June 9 - 10 more news or information hailing from your friends, coworkers, or group associations will stir up those woo-woo transformational vibes. Just remember that you are in a bit of a woo-woo world so concrete information is not likely to be available. Considering that the 8th House also comprises shared resources including debt, be especially careful that you're not deceived or misled regarding something in that area of your life. Mercury goes into Gemini on the 13th, which will help the information flow move quicker and have a more logical spin. Hitting a Catch-22 situation regarding a relationship is likely round mid-month, based on thoughts or information you obtain around that time.

The Sun will throw some light on the subject on the 17th and also stir up your beliefs and expectations. This could also trigger something unexpected in the legal, higher education, or long-distance travel arena. The Sun goes into Cancer on the 20th, which will give you a nice energy boost, followed what looks to be a favorable encounter with your significant other or a potential candidate for that role on the 21st. The New Moon provides yet another boost in that direction on the 22nd. If you have any old relationship baggage to unload, now is the time to do so. A challenge relative to taking appropriate responsibility relative to your spiritual health is likely on the 26th, though it could also relate to an institution in some way. You could also receive word that someone you know is in the hospital or confined in some way.

This looks like an interesting month where much of the action is not directly in the physical plane. Thoughts, beliefs, relationships, and your spiritual health will all be active sooner or later. Bear in mind that woo-woo stuff will be in place for several months, so this may simply be the beginning, though you should be able to identify what it's about. Be sure to take time to relax and spend some time with friends, since some of your best information and inspiration is likely to hail from that direction.
