Lunations and Long-term Aspects

The Full Moon on June 7th occurs in Sagittarius, your 2nd House of finance, possessions, values, wants, and pleasures. A Full Moon heralds the culmination of something, which can be a shift to a new phase as well as an ending. The aspects that accompany this lunation will further influence its flavor and are worth noting. Some are long-term and will still be in effect for the New Moon a few weeks later. One of these is that triple conjunction a.k.a. stellium involving Jupiter, Neptune and the asteroid, Chiron in Aquarius, your 4th House of home environment. This is an unusual combination and worth keeping an eye on. Whenever Neptune is involved you can never be entirely sure how it will turn out. While Neptune can bring us profound insights and inspiration, he can also bring delusions and deception extraordinaire. In combination with Jupiter, who expands and inflates what he contacts, and Chiron, the wounded healer, the possibilities are endless.

Conjunctions are not necessary positive or negative but depend on the planets, sign and house involved; primarily it's a strong blending of energy and since all three are in the same degree, it's going to be strong. If your birthday is within a day or so of November 19, be especially wary as they will be squaring your Natal Sun, putting a challenging spin to its affect on you. In fact, by the end of the month all three will be retrograde, internalizing the energy, which will gradually dissipate a bit, then come back this winter.

One thing to note is that this aspect fit the swine flu pandemic scare perfectly. Some are speculating that it will return this winter during the regular flu season with a vengeance. Considering that is when this aspect will regroup, I'd take note and prepare accordingly. Neptune rules the flu, Jupiter introduces the global influence, and Chiron, the wounded healer, clearly puts the injurious spin on it all. It's further strengthened by the fact that it's residing in Aquarius, the sign of groups. Therefore, you'd do well to work on strengthening your immune system and preparing early. Forewarned is forearmed. However, as noted earlier, you can never tell with Neptune.

With this trio in your 4th House of home environment be on the lookout for deceptions and problems with your home and the people in it. Uranus, planet of surprises, disruptions, and the unexpected, is throwing a semi-sextile toward them as well from your 5th House of children, ego, romance, entertainment, and speculation. The implication is that something from that area will trigger something that could affect your homelife. Mercury is squaring them as well from your 7th House of relationships, so news or information from someone close to you will further increase the challenge. Whatever comes along, be sure to gather all the facts and don't overreact. Since this aspect is ongoing for most of the summer, this is going to be something that lasts for a while.

Chiron in your Natal Chart will identify the area of your life where you will suffer hurt or injury of some description during your life. Your challenge is to take the empathy and wisdom you learn to help others who are similarly affected. These injuries can be physical, mental, emotional, or even financial. His involvement thus implies that this will not be a painless experience, though it could also mean that you'll be deeply involved in helping someone else. The most important thing to remember is to keep your eyes open, deploy that Scorpio radar, and discern what's really going on with all you've got. It's pretty hard to keep a secret from a Scorpio, so pay attention to everything that's going on around you so you can fully understand what's going on.

Another aspect to keep an eye on is that T-square caused between the Sun-Moon opposition (definition of a Full Moon) and Saturn between the two. Saturn, planet of obligations, responsibility, authority, bureaucracies, and delays, is in Virgo, your 11th House of groups, organizations, friends, coworkers, and hopes and wishes. You are thus likely to see someone or something from one of those areas thrown something your way that will be a strong reminder of your responsibilities.

Remember that the Moon is in your 2nd House of finance and the Sun is in Gemini, your 8th House of shared resources, transformation, sex, and death and regeneration. The 2nd/8th axis is known as the "Axis of Desire" and this applies to both your sex drive as well as your finances (which are probably equal in their meaning to most Scorpios). This implies their involvement in everything else going on, so keep a close eye on your wallet and credit cards during this time, not only for your own spending but for the possibility of theft as well. Take the appropriate precautions and don't take anything for granted.

The good news for this Full Moon is the fact your Sign Ruler, Pluto, is in a nice trine with that Mars/Venus conjunction in Taurus, your 7th House of relationships. This bodes well for deepening a relationship or perhaps working out past issues with either this individual or another. If you don't currently have a significant other, this will tend to move that higher up the priority list. Since this aspect will have a similar affect on numerous people, this should make for very interesting times.

The New Moon on the 22nd occurs in fellow Water Sign, Cancer, your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, long distance travel, legal matters, and relocation. If your birthday is within a few days of October 25th this will have an even stronger effect. Note that the Mars/Venus conjunction is in effect for this lunation as well, but is now trining Saturn. This implies that relationship responsibilities will be up for discussion, but in a positive way. Your Sign Ruler, Pluto, is opposed to the New Moon, which could hold you back due to unresolved issues unless you agree to confront and resolve them. Thus, if there's something going on in the romance department, this New Moon will be helping you redefine your expectations and beliefs regarding a significant other, based on past experiences that were perhaps less than stellar. Failure to do so will mean that you wind up the same place you have in the past with other relationships so give it serious thought if you want to progress in this part of your life.

Daily and Short-Term Aspects

The daily aspects will provide the incremental steps that support the themes of the lunations. On June 2nd be on the lookout for an opportunity to make a new friend at work. This is going to relate somehow to those home issues. It could well be someone you already know but see in a new light or context. For example, you may be looking to do some work around your home and strike up a conversation with someone in the breakroom that is helpful in some way. On the 3rd, expect thoughts to arise relative to past relationships. This is preparing you for subsequent events, so pay attention. June 5th a class with a group or organization that relates to money is likely. If you've fudged on any loans or credit card payments lately, expect a call or letter at this time. It's also not a very good time to apply for a loan, so if you're thinking of doing so, wait a few days. Responsibility in relationships will be an issue on the 6th with the Full Moon the next day.

On the 8th, if there's anything coming your way in the romance department, it's likely to be noticeable. On the 9th this will be reinforced. If anyone wants to introduce you to someone, go for it. If could also be when something clicks with an existing relationship, taking it toward a new level. About that same time, keep an eye out for that news that relates to the homefront and remember to be discerning. On the 13th Mercury moves into logical Gemini, which will help your thought processes. On the 15th a change of course or Catch-22 of a significant nature will grab your attention. On the 17th the Sun will trine that Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron stellium, so if you haven't figured out what's going on there by then, it should become apparent. It will be unexpected and give you more understanding of what's going on.

The Sun goes into Cancer on the 20th, bringing his light to your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, foreign travel, legal matters and such. On June 21st that conjunction between Venus and Mars is exact, so this is a good day to plan a hot date; the New Moon follows on the 22nd, giving you plenty to think about. It is definitely time to give a lot of thought to your relationships, past, present and future. Remember if you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll keep on getting what you've always got. If you've been flippant or irresponsible in any way, you know that it has ultimately bitten you, or conversely, if you tend to involve yourself with people like that, now is the time to decide why you are drawn to those type of people.

This month is loaded with a bunch of things that are high on a Scorpio's list. There's something going on that you should be able to identify that will affect your homelife and be in effect for several months. Remember there's a high potential for deception or not seeing what's really going on, so pay close attention. Opportunities for romance are strong, so exploit that as you see fit. There's a possibility that all these things will tie together in some way, or they could be entirely separate. The main thing is to stay alert this month, deal with your obligations in a responsible manner, and unload any past baggage that could be holding you back.
