Lunations and Long-term Aspects

The Full Moon this month occurs in Sagittarius, your 8th House of sex, death and regeneration, shared resources and transformations.  A Full Moon usually heralds the culmination of something, which is most likely to fall in one of these areas.  Sometimes it's an ending, sometimes it's a change of phase, which ultimately becomes a new beginning.   This lunation is accompanied by some interesting aspects which will color its effects.  First of all, your Sign Ruler, Venus, is in your Sign, which should bring positive things your way.  Your natural charm will be enhanced, people will view you in a more favorable light, and it may even bring some financial blessings your way, which we can all use these days.

Mars is in Taurus as well, which should have a positive effect on your drive and energy, but key an eye on it to assure it doesn't turn into inappropriate aggression.  Mars and Venus are in conjunction, though the orb's a bit wide; the gap will close as the month progresses, becoming exact for the New Moon on the 22nd.  As you would expect with a Mars/Venus conjunction, this is going to ramp up your interest in the opposite sex.  If you aren't currently paired with someone, you'll probably be on the prowl more than usual looking for prospects.  This gets even more interesting considering that the Mars/Venus combo is also in aspect with Pluto in your 9th House of beliefs and expectations.  At least it's a nice, harmonious trine, which implies that you've learned a few things from past relationships that you are ready to apply in a positive manner to any new encounters.

The Sun/Moon opposition itself, which defines the Full Moon, is creating a T-square with Saturn in your 5th House of ego expression, creativity, children, romance, speculation and entertainment.  The Full Moon alone would ordinarily be quite promising, particularly in the romance department, since the Sun is in your 2nd House of finances, possessions, pleasures and needs and the Moon, as noted earlier, is in your house of sex and shared resources.  However, with Saturn in the mix, he will undoubtedly put the brakes on any major exploits in the romance department since he's all about restraint, responsibility, obligations and fun stuff like that as opposed to being some kind of party animal.  So we already have some mixed messages coming your way, but it gets even more interesting due to a stellium, which comprises three or more astrological entities in the same sign or house.  In this case we have a triple conjunction between Jupiter, Neptune, and the asteroid, Chiron, who are all hanging out in Aquarius, your 10th House of career and reputation.

This trio has a plethora of interpretations, some good, some bad.  Jupiter is usually considered lucky, but what he really does is expand upon anything he touches.  Thus, if it's good, it's very good, but if it's less enchanting, well, then it can be rather unpleasant.  Neptune is another one that isn't inherently good or bad but can go either way.  For example, he's the ruler of inspiration, which is good, but also deception, which is bad.  So throw him together with Jupiter and you can have either major inspiration or major deception.  It gets even more interesting due to the presence of Chiron, the wounded healer.  In your birth chart, Chiron indicates the area in your life where you'll be hurt in some way which can be physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, financially, or what-have-you.  Our challenge is to then take those wounds and assist others who are similarly affected.  Thus, Chiron can relate to wounding or healing.  An example in mundane astrology, which fit this aspect perfectly, was the concern that arose in May relative to the swine flu.  The flu is ruled by Neptune, Jupiter made it a pandemic, and Chiron, of course, represented disease.  However, Neptune really got into it in another way and it all evaporated before our eyes, though concerns are out there it may return in the fall with a vengeance.  This would make sense in that by mid-June all three will be retrograde.  Come December and January, right in the midst of the typical flu season, this conjunction will reconvene, so bear that in mind in your preparations.

What you Bulls need to think about is how is this going to affect your career and reputation?  This could be anything from the career break of a lifetime that makes all your previous opportunities pale by comparison or conversely the biggest disappointment of your life.  (Believe me, I'll be rooting for you that it's the former option, though I tend to get most clients when things are going badly.)  Making this even more interesting is the fact that Uranus, planet of surprises, the unexpected, rebellion, and disruptions, is throwing a few annoyances toward the situation from your 11th House of groups, which of course includes your coworkers.  You don't have to be a rocket scientist to do the math on that one.  Mercury is in there, too, with a challenging square to Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron, since all three are in the same degree.  Mercury is in your 1st House and while he may be squaring the stellium, he's sextile Uranus, which could mean that while there may be some major challenges involved, if you tune into the situation properly there will be an opportunity of some sort.

So that's the scoop on the Full Moon.  The New Moon on the 22nd has the same stellium, though it's in a harmonious trine with the Sun/Moon conjunction which is taking place in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys.  Uranus is throwing some conflict in that direction, however, implying that more flack is coming from your coworkers of associates.  Pluto in your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters, long distance travel and relocation, is opposite the New Moon, so if ideas are being spawned, they are likely to be in a tug-o-war of some description with your ideas, creating an internal argument.  Pluto in your house of beliefs will be forcing you to take a hard look at your a priori assumptions, paradigms, and core beliefs so as to determine if they're legitimate or not.  Thus, these new ideas may very well catalyze something in that respect.  As mentioned earlier, Mars and Venus will be in tight conjunction by this time, in fact in the same degree.  If your birthday is on or within a few days of May 7, this will make their influence very strong for you.  Since the pair will trine Saturn in your 5th House, it should help you show some responsibility in this regard, however, and may even indicate a deeper commitment is coming to an existing relationship.

So that is what the lunations are up to this month.  This, of course, will evolve from the faster moving aspects day by day, as described below.

Daily and Short-term Aspects

The month starts out with a nice sextile from Venus to Neptune and Jupiter on June 2nd.  At this time Venus is in your 12th House of inspiration, dreams, spirituality, transcendence, and institutions.  This could be what sets that stellium in motion for you, so pay attention to what you spiritual longings may be during this time that are going to relate to your career in some way.  Maybe it's time to put aside your material aspirations for something of a more fulfilling nature.  On June 3rd, Mars trines Pluto, which will bring you some food for thought regarding those core beliefs you need to assess.  When the Sun in your 2nd House of finances, possessions, and needs squares Saturn on the 5th, however, this may provide a major sanity check regarding the various obligations you need to deal with that might not be in synch with your gathering aspirations.  On the 6th Venus will send you a similar message, this time directly related to either your bank account or possibly your romantic inclinations, since at some point all of this stuff is going to blend together.  The Full Moon occurs on the 7th, then on June 8th Mercury will sextile Uranus, which will bring an opportunity your way through an idea you derive from your work group, coworkers, or other organizational ties, a.k.a. networking.

That same day, however, Mercury will square Neptune, which could result in some delusions on your part regarding what's going on with your career.  The next day on the 10th, Mercury will square Jupiter as well, so be as objective as possible during this time to acquire all the facts, not just wishful thinking, as this is all going to be fallout from the Full Moon.  On the 13th Mercury goes into Gemini, your 2nd House of finance, which should help you make sounder decisions in that area.  Mercury will be quincunx Pluto on the 15th, which will be a time where you need to reassess and possibly adjust some of your beliefs and expectations.  There's a lot going on June 17th when the Sun is throwing a trine to that Neptune/Jupiter/Chiron stellium, energizing that, as well as squaring Uranus, which could bring a few surprises your way.

The Sun goes into Cancer, your 3rd House of thoughts and ideas on the 20th, which will positive energy that will prove very useful as you ruminate on various decisions.  That Venus/Mars conjunction will perfect on June 21st, so expect something to surface in regard to your feelings toward someone of the opposite sex, with the New Moon following the next day, with all its influences recounted above.  On the 23rd the Sun will oppose Pluto, which is going to expose those beliefs and expectations for close examination for suitability with your current goals.  On the 28th Mercury will square Saturn, once more reminding you of your responsibilities and making sure you retain some stability through whatever it is you're trying to do.

This looks like an interesting month for you where several important areas of your life will be up for review, including your core beliefs, career, and possibly even your love life.  If you have a pet project, hobby, or creative effort that you're trying to evolve into a livelihood, that could also be a piece of the puzzle.  Make sure that any wild, off-the-wall ideas that come your way aren't delusions but legitimate inspiration before making any irreversible moves.  Keep an eye on your six at work, and enjoy the interesting days ahead which are likely to have an impact on several elements of your future.
