Lunations and Long-Term Aspects

This month the Full Moon on March 10th occurs in Virgo, your 11th House of group associations, friends, hopes and wishes. Since a Full Moon typically indicates a culmination, this could indicate an association with an organization or certain friends may come to a close or perhaps that one of your hopes and/or wishes will either come true or perhaps you'll decide it's no longer on your list. This lunation brings along some interesting aspects that will color its influence further in this area. As you may recall, Saturn and Uranus are currently doing the astrological tango, i.e. are in opposition causing a tug-o-war between what's stable and predictable in your life along with your responsibilities and obligations versus the need to break free of something and move toward some drastic change.

A Full Moon by definition is also an opposition, but in this case between the Sun and Moon, and this month these two oppositions have paired up with the Moon in conjunction with Saturn and the Sun in conjunction with Uranus. This should stir up that aspect considerably for everyone, depending on which Houses are affected. For Scorpios the Sun/Uranus pair is in Pisces, your 5th House of personal expression, ego, creativity, romance, children and speculation and the Moon/Saturn pair in Virgo, your 11th as noted above with the opposition implying a tug-o-war is in progress between the two. Both of these signs are reasonably compatible with you as Water and Earth signs, respectively. In fact, if your birthday falls within a few days one way or the other of November 13th, this will create a rather friendly aspect known as a Triangle of Potential with your Natal Sun, meaning you'll be able to draw positive energy from each. Expect that need for change to get your attention at the conscious level while on the emotional side you may find that your security blanket isn't going in the attic anytime soon. Practical versus emotional issues will be stirred up in a veritable stew, but your chances of finding a solution are reasonably positive. Opportunities to smooth a few things out between home and work as well as deep, transformational thinking are other possibilities.

Between March 14 - 31st Jupiter will quincunx Saturn. If you've never heard of that particular aspect before you're not alone as different astrologers give it different degrees of attention and some largely ignore it. In most cases it will indicate adjustments, changes to existing plans, having to justify your position on something or in its worst case as a Catch-22. Jupiter is in your 4th House of home environment and Saturn, as noted earlier, is in your 11th House of groups and friends. Thus, you can expect that increasing events at home, either with your family or home itself, will be causing some adjustments to the time you spend with friends or perhaps a group or organization with which your affiliated. If you work as part of a team on your job it can also fall in the 11th House.

The New Moon on the 26th is in Aries, your 6th House of work, health, and pets. A New Moon usually opens up a new chapter in our life in some way, so if you've been looking to change jobs, start a fitness program, address a health issue or perhaps get a new pet, this stands a good chance of happening around that time. One thing worth noting about this New Moon is that fact that it's connecting quite strongly with Pluto, your Sign Ruler, in a square, which frequently brings a crisis or conflict our way. If your birthday falls within a few days of October 30th this will carry even more punch and will also necessitate some adjustments, though they should also open up some opportunities for you that in the long run will be a good thing. It's possible that a lot of this will be on the mental level and as noted earlier, is going to tie into your work or job in some manner. Perhaps you'll have some deep insights into why you're in the job you are that will further motivate you to make a change. No telling, but those are some things to watch for.

Reinforcing all this is the fact that Venus goes retrograde on March 6 through April 16. Venus tends to stir up that sediment in the depths of some issue that has been neglected, yet requires attention. She'll be stirring things up that you've pushed aside or simply didn't see that also pertain to your work, health or pets. So between her and Pluto in cahoots with that New Moon you should expect some interesting revelations over the next month or so.

Daily and Short-term Aspects

The month starts out with a precursor to that Jupiter - Saturn quincunx to come, which will bring some information or data related to home your way that will set the stage for further adjustments or change. This could come in the form of an idea that packs a lot of energy and you'd like to put into action. On March 5th a follow-up or possibly new idea will follow that could run two extremes, i.e., either it will be extremely inspired or it could be out in la-la-land somewhere. During this time it will also be possible for you to comprehend things on an even deeper level than usual, which for a Scorpio means extremely deep, but your ability to express it to others will go beyond words. This particular seed of an idea or revelation will receive further impetus on the 8th, but it's essential that you recognize your ambitions for what they are, which might well be delusional. You may also feel confused or restless at this time without knowing why and your energy will probably be low as well. Best to not make any major decisions or start anything new at this time as all of this is likely to evaporate in the light of reality. This is likely to not be far behind as responsibilities relative to your friends or work group will demand your attention about this same time.

The Full Moon comes along on the 10th, the description of which is noted above. Also on that day expect an idea to come your way relative to your children, a creative project, or speculative venture that carries a significant opportunity with it. Just make sure everything is above board or it will bite you later. The next day on the 11th something going on at work will create an opportunity to expand something related to your home. This could be a raise, or the promise of one, or perhaps an offer of help from your friends to tackle a major project like painting your house. Since Venus is retrograde at this time, however, it may simply bring something to your attention that you've been neglecting relative to work which could be just about anything including whether or not you enjoy what you do for a living.

March 12 something surprising or unexpected will occur relative to your creative efforts, children, romantic interests or even speculations. It's probably a good day to even do something like buy a lotto ticket. It has endless possibilities, largely because Uranus is involved and that planet by it's very nature is full of surprises. It may nudge you to break your normal routine, rebel against anything that's getting on your last nerve, or bring something entire unexpected into your life. This would be a good day to plan to do something different and get away from your usual routine. Open yourself up to possibilities you usually wouldn't consider and see what happens. If you decide to play hooky from work, however, do so in a responsible way or it is likely to bite you the next day.

News or an idea related to your children or romantic interest is going to conflict with your responsibilities to an organization, group, or your friends on the 18th, so plan accordingly. Look for a compromise that will upset the least number of people, weighted, of course, by their importance in your life. The next day will be a good one for putting together a new project of some description, probably one that involves a creative endeavor, your children, lover or again, speculation. What we're talking about here is your 5th House, which largely relates to your ego expression. You may have already thought you had a plan in that area, but a new and improved version is likely to appear. It may be harder to implement, but will be well-worth the effort in the long-haul. This will receive another boost on the 21st, either through surprising news or an extremely innovative idea that will set you well on your way. These should be exciting and interesting days, so pay attention. Note that the next day, on the 22nd, that Jupiter - Saturn quincunx is exact, so that adjustment may tie in to these other plans as well.

Events at work, or possibly related to your health, may result in a challenge of some description on the 23rd. Maybe your plans will hit a wall that will result in a power struggle with another employee or your boss. Since Pluto is your bosom-buddy, you're likely to prevail. The New Moon comes along a few days later on the 26th, so see how all this plugs into something new coming into your life. On the 27th more conflicts are coming from work, though anywhere I've mentioned work could also apply to a health issue, if you're dealing with one at this time. Through the end of the month there will be a heavy emphasis on work and more than likely an related financial considerations. You won't have to look for this, it will be right in your face and will bear useful information for you to put in the mix relative to future changes or ambitions. Put it all together and see what you've got.
