Lunations and Long-term Aspects One thing to note and keep in the back of your mind regarding the better part of this month is that Mercury will be retrograde from May 6 - 30th. This isn't exactly cause for celebration since you probably know this usually causes all sort of problems with computers, cell phones, appliances, cars, traffic, communications, and generally anything that moves. This starts out in your 8th House of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, and other peoples resources, then backs into your 7th House of relationships around the middle of the month. Moving forward in either area isn't likely, but this is a favorable time to re-think, re-plan, revise, and "re" about anything in these two areas. That 8th House is homebase for Scorpio, who resides in the zodiacal 8th House so events in that part of your life should be reasonably comfortable. If there's anything in that part of your life that isn't exactly working as it should, now is the time to take a good, hard look at why. This also includes debt, so maybe it's time to take a look at that. The Full Moon this month on May 8th is in your Sign which will mean something to all of you but especially if you were born on or within a few days of November 11. The Full Moon indicates a culmination of something and in your 1st House this will be of a personal nature. It could be an ending, but it could also signify something shifting to another phase. Remember that a Full Moon by definition is an opposition between the Sun and Moon. Considering that the Sun represents your ego and the Moon your emotions, it also implies that these two may not be on the same page. The Sun is in Taurus, which is your 7th House of relationships, until the 21st, so you'll see an emphasis on that part of your life. Other aspects which will be in effect all month that are associated with the Full Moon will have a significant impact as well. Remember that Pluto is now in Capricorn, which comprises your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys. Having your Sign Ruler in your House of thought should be like a turbo-boost to a Scorpio. You are probably one of the few signs that is actually happy about this placement, not only because you're intimately familiar with his effects but also because this increases your powers of discernment even more. No one can keep a secret from a Scorpio, anyway, and this will kick that up a notch; maybe even two or three. During the Full Moon, retrograde Mercury will throw a quincunx to Pluto which will promote some new considerations about something that you'd missed previously. This is a subject that is important and will have a long-term effect on you. In addition, Mars and Venus are in your 6th House of work, health, and small animals. They're not quite in conjunction, but they're traveling together and are currently in energetic Aries. This should make interactions with member of the opposite sex slightly more intense (as if they're not already intense enough with Scorpios) but this will be especially true in the work place. Now, as you know, intense can be good or intense can be not-so-good. Expect to see a variety of both throughout the month. Having more drive and energy regarding your work or personal projects is also likely, and there's also a possibility of generating some revenue from it as well. By far the most interesting aspect out there that's in effect for both the Full Moon, New Moon and beyond, is a stellium between Jupiter, Neptune, and the asteroid, Chiron. A stellium is a grouping of at least three astrological entities in either the same house or sign; in this case they're all in Aquarius, your 4th House of home environment, and they're not only in the same sign but they're in tight conjunction. In fact, for the New Moon they're in the same degree, giving them a tremendous amount of energy, sort of like a cosmological martini with lots of vermouth. Jupiter promotes growth and expansion, so undoubtedly something has been going on in this regard around your household. This is all well and good, but Neptune has an entirely different effect. He tends to dissolve things, create illusions, or at best crank up our idealism. Together these two could also create a sense of very unrealistic over-confidence. The third member of this celestial manage à trois, if you'll excuse the expression, is the asteroid, Chiron, a.k.a. the wounded healer. The principle behind Chiron's placement in your natal chart is to designate the part of your life where you'll experience painful experiences of some description. These will probably never heal, but if you take your compassion and experience dealing with them to help others, you've achieved the cosmos' intent. Chiron is also typically active by transit when we get hurt in some way, either physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, or I suppose now-a-days, financially. So, with him in the mix with Jupiter and Neptune, it looks like whatever is going on is likely to not be very pleasant, though there's always the chance that you'll be on the helping or healing side rather than the hurting side of things. This all has to do with something in your home environment. Uranus, another bad actor, is in the game as well, prodding that trio with something unexpected or disruptive in your 5th House of romance, children, ego, creativity, speculation, and entertainment to set things off. I know this all sounds rather ominous and you can always hope it will be minor, but with the way things are going out there lately I wouldn't hold my breath. Meanwhile, forearmed and forewarned, so be proactive in anticipating something you're not going to like and see if you can mitigate it early-on. Good luck with that. The New Moon on the 24th carries many of the same aspects, so the implication is that the Full Moon will see something culminate, but then the same basic vibes will continue on in a different phase of operation. Remember that the stellium has all three in the same degree, giving the energy a tremendous intensity. I would bet if you look around you you'll see examples of over-confident delusion that could cause serious damage everywhere you look. You've probably already been seeing plenty of it on the news. The New Moon itself, however, is in Gemini, your 8th House of transformations. The Readers Digest of that is quite simple: all this crap going on is going to have a transformational effect on your. It's going to change how you think and make you into a different, probably more skeptical, person. Saturn has been retrograde since New Years Eve and finally gets out of reverse on May 16. He's been stirring things up in your 11th House of groups, organizations, and hopes and wishes and by the time he goes direct you should have some idea what all that is about, which will probably be some restructuring you need to do in this part of your life. Maybe you need a new set of friends, coworkers, or organizational affiliations. Another possibility is that your hopes and wishes are way out of line with reality and you need to take a look at them, too. Daily and Short-Term Aspects The month starts out with Venus squaring Pluto which should generate some deep introspective thought regarding your love life or perhaps how much money you're making on your current job. I know those two are pretty different, but you've got to admit both of them mean a lot to a Scorpio. For the record, Venus is about relationships AND money. This aspect will be in effect from May 1 - 9th. Right around the 5th, there's a trine out there between the Sun and Saturn that has some interesting potential. It will have something to do with your relationships and sense of responsibility toward your friends, coworkers, or group associations in some way. Maybe it's time to increase or decrease your outside obligations or perhaps someone from your larger circle of friends is about to become closer to you. On the 6th Mercury goes retrograde and the fun begins with our electronics and mechanical devices, then on the 8th the Full Moon occurs. On or around May 11th expect to have to make some adjustments related to your work and coworkers; maybe it's time for some responsibilities to shift. You should have it figured out by the 16th. About that same time you're going to get a glimpse of whatever it is going on at home that's being acted upon by that stellium. One of your relationships will be involved in some way with your kids, creative endeavors, or speculations the target. If you don't know what it is the, it should be apparent on the 18th. Between May 16 - 25, information should start flowing on that home-related issue, with more adjustments within your work groups, or possibly regarding your hopes and wishes, that may have been off-target. The Sun goes into Gemini on the 21st, shifting the emphasis from your relationships to those personal transformations looming on the horizon. About that same time expect some news from someone close to you that brings another unexpected event. Thoughts regarding some serious adjustments should be starting to brew, if they weren't already, especially with Pluto tutoring you in your 3rd House of thought. The New Moon on the 24th should definitely get you moving in a new direction with further motivation related to work and home coming your way, though actually moving forward isn't likely until after the 30th when Mercury comes out of retrograde. This should be a busy and probably rather intense month. Whatever is going on at home is going to make itself known, if you haven't already figured it out with that Scorpio discernment further enhanced by Plutonian overdrive. While erring on the side of caution is usually advised, there's also the possibility that that Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron stellium will have a positive effect. While it could be an over-inflated sense of well-being that bites you in the butt, it could also be an expansion upon your charitable side and the time you devote to helping others. The energy can manifest in a plethora of ways, but you have more control on it than you may think. Consider what's going on out there, then take action accordingly. In other words, if the shoe fits, wear it. What's going on out there? Find out with a personalized Solar Return Report!
