Lunations and Long Term Aspects

This month the New Moon is on February 13 in your neighboring Sign, Aquarius, your 2nd House of possessions, finance, needs, and pleasures. A New Moon typically brings something new so here's hoping it's something good. This lunation has two overlapping Yods, also known as the Finger of God. These aspects tend to push you in a certain direction that may require a few adjustments or course changes on your part. The base of the first yod includes Pluto sextile both Venus and Jupiter, which implies a fortuitous opportunity to perhaps rebuild some part of your life. Venus and Jupiter are both quite benefic and they're in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and siblings, which should bode well for that part of your life. In other words you may get a million dollar idea that solves the mysteries of the Universe. This, in turn, will push you toward resolving something lurking around in Leo, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death, shared resources and debt. There's some potential for it to be some sort of windfall but don't bet the farm on it.

The second yod also involves Mars, Venus and Jupiter, but in this case the latter two are at the eye and your Sign Ruler, Saturn, who's retrograde in Libra, takes up a position in the base with Mars. Jupiter and Venus are benefics but Mars and Saturn are malefics so no telling how this will come out. Saturn is in your 10th House of career, status, reputation and public image and sextile Mars, also retrograde. The implication is that something of a transformational nature will happen that affects your status or reputation in some way and ultimately has a beneficial financial effect of some sort with regard to your thoughts, ideas, neighbors or siblings. So keep an eye out to see what transpires.

Also associated with this lunation are a few other aspects such as news or information of a financial nature that may require the exchange of money, either coming or going. In other words, you may need a loan or someone may come to you asking for one, neither of which is particularly pleasant. However, something of a positive nature is going on with your career or status that may bring the needed information your way.

The ongoing square between Saturn and Pluto is still in force, further grinding away on something related to your career or public image and something that needs to be restructured in that part of your life, most likely as the result of some deep soul-searching on your part that has the potential to set you on an entirely new path with your life. Squares stir up situations that present themselves as challenges or even a crisis, but if you handle it properly you can land on your feet.

The Full Moon on February 28 occurs in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, higher education, other cultures, legal matters such as contracts, relocation and long-distance travel. Full Moons usually usher in an ending or culmination, though an old issue can simply shift to a new phase and not end, per se. If your birthday is right around December 31 your Natal Sun will be in a nice Triangle of Potential with the Sun/Moon and implies some action largely on the mental plane though someone from another culture or a neighbor may be involved. If you're toying around with any new ideas, something beneficial may be in-work for them, so keep your eyes open.

Short Term Aspects

February 5 - 7: Watch for some important ideas or connections that are likely to come out of the blue and cause a shift in your career direction or other intention that relates to your public image. Deep personal transformation could be a factor as well, some Aha! moment that sets you on a different path. Watch how you spend your money, however, as it could do a real disappearing act at this time. Inspiration for making money is possible as well, but measure twice, cut once, if you get my meaning.

February 10 -11: Something you should have taken action on in the past is giving you a second chance to do it correctly. This time you should be able to see the forest for the trees and take proper action. Mercury goes into Aquarius on the 10th, facilitating information relative to your finances, which can't hurt these days. Venus enters Pisces on the 11th, bringing her blessings to your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas and siblings.

February 12 - 13: An adjustment or course change at a personal level will present itself today as you continue to move forward resolving that outstanding issue. Information should be readily available that relates to your finances and career in some way. If you've been working simply for the money and are looking for something more satisfying, keep your eyes wide open during this time, especially when that New Moon comes along on the 13th.

February 14: Happy Valentine's Day! Venus, the Goddess of Love, is appropriately active today and should be working on your thoughts and ideas in some manner. She is also at the eye of a yod with Mars and Saturn, guiding you toward a solution to something you've been struggling with for sometime now. Don't expect too much from yourself energy-wise, but take it easy the best you can so you're open to inspiration.

February 15 - 16: Beneficial ideas or insights that help you know yourself better and thus have a clearer understanding of what you're looking for and need to change are out there, so pay attention. You may be surprised how you've managed to miss them before.

February 18: The Sun enters Pisces today, bringing further light and clarity to your thoughts and ideas. It will also highlight interactions with neighbors and siblings.

February 20 - 23: More brainstorms are on the way, but they're likely to push you toward a different course. It may not be the easiest route, but it's more likely to wind up where you want to go. Above all else, be brutally honest with yourself.

February 27 - 28: Don't believe everything you hear or see during this time or let it get you too stirred up until you check its accuracy. Major inspiration or major deception are dual possibilities. Full Moon on the 28th as described above.
