Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month the New Moon falls in your polar sign, Aquarius which constitutes your 7th House of relationships. A New Moon typically denotes something new or a new phase of something that was already there, so there's a good chance that someone new will come into your life. This will be especially true for those of you born within a day or so of August 18 since then it will oppose your Natal Sun. There are some interesting aspect patterns associated with this lunation, in particular a pair of overlapping Yods. A Yod is also known as the Finger of God and has some measure of fate attached to it by some though the meaning extracted from the individual aspects that form it, i.e. two quincunxes and a sextile, imply an opportunity to change directions will lead you to something important. The first yod comprises Pluto and a conjunction between Jupiter and Venus at the base and retrograde Mars at the point or eye, as it's usually called. Pluto is in Capricorn, your 6th House of work and health, where he's digging up all sorts of things. Jupiter and Venus are in Pisces, your 8th House of transformations, so the sextile between this pair and Pluto implies a chance to learn something significant and perhaps even life-changing. (However, this house also comprises sex, death, debt, and shared resources, so bear these in mind as well.) Jupiter/Venus and Pluto are all quincunx Mars, who's in Leo doing the backstroke, which usually brings you to an unresolved issue. Often it is something you should have done previously but didn't, so you're being given a second chance by the Universe to get it right. Those of you with birthdays right around July 26 should pay special attention to this since Mars is right in the neighborhood of your Natal Sun. Thus, the overall meaning looks as if you're going to encounter something at work (which also includes volunteer work or service) or perhaps regarding your health which will change you in some way and motivate you to take care of some unfinished business that you may not have handled appropriately or perhaps ignored the first time. The second Yod shares most of the same planets except it swaps out Pluto for Saturn and the eye shifts to the Jupiter/Venus pair. Saturn is also retrograde and his message in that state is the need to do some restructuring. With him in Libra, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and siblings, the implication is that you need to examine your attitude or thoughts about something. This in concert with Mars' nudging to resolve an old issue is pointing you toward a very positive transformational experience. Single aspects worth noting include an opposition between Mercury and Mars, which suggests that a conversation with someone close to you is going to kick-start the process that Mars is pushing for, i.e. resolution. Mercury, who rules communications and movement generally, is trining Saturn as well, a harmonious aspect that indicates this conversation will also influence your thoughts or attitude. Both of these aspects are tied in enough with the yod planets that undoubtedly all of this will tie together in some manner. The square between Saturn and Pluto is also in there, and further indicates a crisis or challenge related to work that you're evaluating as it is causing you some trouble in some manner. This square will be in force for quite a while so this isn't some minor issue that you can quickly fix or dismiss. The most important thing you need to do is to pay attention and not ignore it. The Full Moon on February 28 occurs in your nextdoor neighbor, Virgo, your 2nd House of possessions, finance, pleasures, needs, and self-worth. A shift in direction that may not be entirely comfortable is implied by the Sun's position in Pisces, which is quincunx Leo. Those who will feel this the strongest are those of you with birthdays right around August 2. Jupiter is conjunct the Sun at this time, implying this will be either quite a big deal or possibly simply over-inflated. On the other hand, along with the Sun, Pisces will be hosting Jupiter, Venus and Uranus, so that's a whole bunch of energy in your 8th House of transformations. Something is definitely going on there, so pay attention and work with it. Work is in the picture again with an opportunity indicated that could bring something nice into your life such as love or money. Saturn is still square Pluto, but Saturn is also now sextile Mars. Both are retrograde, rehashing old issues, and providing an opportunity to do something about it. Short-term Aspects February 5 - 7: Find some quiet time so as not to miss what Jupiter and Saturn are trying to tell you today which will have a life-changing effect on you as you rework your thoughts or attitude toward something. This could come via unexpected information or a conversation with someone at work that uncovers something previously unknown. If you have any health issues, you should pay attention to them as well. Fantasizing about love is also likely today, but be cautious as it's more than likely only an illusion. February 10 - 11: Another day to expect a nudge or two regarding something left unresolved. This is something that is more important that you may realize. On the 10th Mercury enters Aquarius, your 7th House of relationships, which will help facilitate communications with those close to you. On the 11th Venus goes into Pisces, which will bring positive, loving vibes to those things that can make you a different person. February 12 - 13: Look for a change of direction with regard to work or, if applicable, your health. Something previously hidden or lurking in the background is trying to get your attention, more than likely because you've been ignoring it. A ready stream of ideas should be coming your way, perhaps with regard to restructuring a few things. The New Moon occurs on the 13th as described above. February 14: Happy Valentine's Day! Venus is definitely getting into the act on what you could consider "her" day by drawing your thoughts toward something that will have a deep affect on you. Inspiration or enlightenment with regard to a relationship is also possible. February 15: Whatever is going on at work or with your health, opportunities are there today awaiting action. Give it some thought, considering anything that comes to mind in retrospect. February 16: This should be an important day that brings positive things your way. February 18: The Sun enters Pisces today, bringing his illumination to your 8th house of transformations, sex, death, debt, and shared resources. February 20 - 23: What you may have felt with your heart on Valentine's Day you may understand more logically today. The message is the same, however. If you didn't get it then, you probably will now. The past is more than likely involved in some way.
