NEW MOON The New Moon on 4 November is not only in partile opposition to Uranus, but within 7 minutes of arc of being exact, making it exceptionally strong. A Scorpio Moon is saturated with passion so this suggests a new wave of resistance toward change or any other disturbance or disruption that's been bothering you. Note that Mars has gone into Scorpio where he is far more motivated than he was in Libra where he felt as if he were shackled with the need to be polite and fair. As the traditional ruler of this sign, now his passionate energy can be unleashed. He's applying to a square to authoritative Saturn, which shows conflict, at which he's quite adept. Saturn is in his traditional dignity in Aquarius, however, so these two are quite evenly matched, especially with both in fixed signs, indicating neither is inclined to budge from their position, so this looks like a rather interesting standoff. Mercury is sextile anaretic Venus in Sagittarius which implies opportunities for pleasant communications and/or finding unbiased information related to something that means a lot to you. An anaretic planet in the last degree indicates an energy that has been saturated by the sign of residence, which will change dramatically upon entering the next sign. Venus in fire sign, Sagittarius, is much more expressive than she will be in cool and collected Capricorn. However, as she enters that sign she and Mars will be sextile, which looks like a favorable situation for relationships, especially with regard to complementing Mars passion with some cool earth sign logic and tradition. Mercury has been squaring Pluto for a while which has probably been for naught. Mercury in polite and balanced Libra isn't likely to make much progress dealing with Pluto, once he's dug in his heels and taken control. Remember that last month we had four planets station direct. The outer planets are still gathering some momentum, but once they do you can expect to see some interesting events. Neptune stations direct early next month and Uranus in mid-January. Note that as the inner planets progress through the zodiac they're moving toward the locations of the outer planets, making for an unbalanced cosmic energy distribution like we had several months ago, emphasizing those in the final quadrant, which should be interesting. FULL MOON/LUNAR ECLIPSE This full moon is also a lunar eclipse which will be visible in the wee hours in the Western Hemisphere. Eclipses pack quite a bit more punch than the usual garden-variety lunation. The usual effect of a full moon is to achieve an ending, culmination, or shift to a new phase, which will be strengthened significantly by being a blood moon. The Scorpio sun brings a lot of passion to bear while the Taurus Moon likes comfort and security, which have been in short supply for a while. The eclipse forms a fixed T-square with Jupiter in Aquarius which represents a lot of tension, particularly in fixed signs. As the ruler of Sagittarius, the natural 9th house which includes such things as higher learning, publication, other cultures, long-distance travel, politics, and religion, all of these matters are likely to be at the apex of tension of some description. In Aquarius, the sign that rules the 11th house of friends, groups, organizations, goals, and networking, that energy is incorporated into it as well. In other words, this is likely to be something that pertains to many as opposed to individuals. Pluto, interestingly enough, forms a triangle of potential with the eclipse, suggesting that his demonstrated power and control is likely to have an influence on how this plays out. Jupiter and Pluto are in partile semi-sextile, the uncomfortable aspect that tends to indicate friction or annoyances, in this case groups versus those in control. Mercury is trining Neptune, which suggests an influx of information that could be deceptive, delusional, or confusing. Of course there's been a plethora of that lately, so what's new, right? What's interesting about this is Mercury's placement in Scorpio, the sign that loves secrets and anything hidden. Will they be revealed? Or new ones introduced? Mars in Scorpio is opposing Uranus, suggesting efforts to change in a dramatic way which is encountering firm resistance. Venus and Uranus are in partile trine with Venus at the apex of another triangle of potential, suggesting she will mitigate the opposition. In cool, collected Capricorn if nothing else she could bring some common sense to the party. As ruler of Taurus, she could have a favorable influence on any changes as she succumbs to the wiles of passionate Mars and his objectives. Saturn's square to Uranus suggests resistance from those in authority, so whatever this delivers is not going to come easily. I haven't mentioned that obnoxious Wuhan asteroid lately, but it's worth noting that this month Mars will trine it from Scorpio, which could serve to bring out more secrets and who-knows-what-else about the COVID debacle that has held us prisoner for going on two years. The specter of a vaccine mandate has stirred up significant issues and so far is not resolved. This trine implies resistance will be stronger than ever.
