TRIPLE CONJUNCTION OF URANUS-MARS-NORTH LUNAR NODE

From 31 July - 2 August a rare triple conjunction occurs at 18 degrees Taurus when Uranus, Mars, and the Lunar North Node are in partile conjunction. This explosive combination is likely to bring some startling events. Read about it in detail in the blog section, including when it last occurred in 324 BC.

FULL MOON

This month's Full Moon in Aquarius occurs on 12 August. The lunation is conjunct Saturn, traditional ruler of that sign, providing additional Aquarian energy. While Capricorn Saturn wants to be in charge, Aquarius Saturn is more inclined to work together with others. However, the lunation forms a T-square with Uranus, modern ruler of Aquarius, which suggests conflict, perhaps via lack of cooperation and/or a bid for freedom. Every Full Moon comprises opposing sign with complementary energy which begs for balance between the two energies. A Leo Sun can be self-serving while an Aquarius Moon looks out for others. This speaks well for looking after your own needs but still offering assistance to others as you're able. Being a martyr, however, doesn't help anyone. For example, right now we're in hard times with the highest inflation rate ever under a U.S. president. Further food and gas shortages are also predicted. Thus, it makes sense to stock up on what you'll need to survive over the coming months. Those who do not heed this warning or dismiss it as fake news or conspiracy theory, may be the first ones knocking on your door for help. However, if you share you may not have enough for you and your family.

So what's the right things to do? There are numerous beautiful stories about those who had nearly nothing, yet shared, and were blessed for their generosity. On the other hand, we have the parable of the 10 virgins told by Jesus, which provides an entirely different angle. This lunation suggests being faced by such a dilemma. Which action would you choose? How much of your answer depends on who's at your door: a stranger, close friend, or family member? Think about it, especially if you might be the one knocking on your tin foil hat prepper friend's door. Ever hear the adage "It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it?" Or maybe "Better a day too early than a day too late."

 Amidst all that potential conflict lies a tidy sextile pattern between Pluto, Neptune, and Mars that implies a harmonious energy exchange. Of particular interest is the trine between Mars and Pluto. These two malefics are in Earth signs Taurus and Capricorn, respectively. As I've mentioned before, Mars in Taurus is like a bulldozer, slightly slow, but relentless and unstoppable. Pluto in Capricorn has been digging up corruption in areas such as corporations and government for years. The trine suggests an easy flow of energy between the two, but exactly what it might produce may not be friendly. In geopolitical/mundane astrology Mars represents the military, fires, and disputes. We've certainly seen plenty of that lately. Pluto represents secret societies, underground mineral resources in general, revolutionaries, political extremists, and colonialism (i.e., exploiting foreign resources). Thus, there is some explosive potential here. Neptune at the apex in Pisces presents his usual enigma. Being retrograde, his energies lean toward deception, though idealism is another possibility. This innocent looking triad could bring interesting results.

The 6th house represents the working class, farms, army labor unions, hospitals, and healthcare. Farmers are currently under attack by their own governments in The Netherlands and Canada. Officials are restricting their access to fertilizer and even operating their own equipment due to unrealistic, unscientific mandates about carbon emissions. Apparently they think that people starving is acceptable, as long as the air is a little cleaner. Ironically, the amount of difference this will make is negligible. Mercury in the 6th house highlights their protests, which may become more widely known.  The USA is under attack by unprecedented droughts, heat, and water shortages. URANUS RETROGRADE STATION

Uranus stations retrograde 24 August. Uranus is always full of surprises, but his behavior is even more erratic when he's retrograde. With the energy of retrograde planets typically internalized, this could bring some breakthroughs or startling flashes that could be rather shocking (remember Uranus rules electricity and electronics). Anything you've been ruminating on the past few months could unexpectedly explode with meaning in an "Aha!" moment. Many podcasters have noted this is a time when secrets are being revealed, which correlates with the Full Moon's Pluto - Mars trine. Perhaps these revelations will figuratively blow your mind. The station chart features another T-square that comprises an opposition between Venus and Saturn with Uranus stationing at the apex. Uranus is 18:55 Taurus, still in the degree where the triple conjunction occurred. This station will pump even more energy into this degree, which is already seething. It's as if Uranus is saying his work at that degree is not yet done. In fact, he'll remain in the 18th degree until 12 October. (As a side note,  23 October Saturn stations direct at 18:35 Aquarius, squaring that degree in Taurus.)

Saturn and Venus at the T-square's base suggest Venus demanding what she needs and/or wants against any edicts or restrictions Saturn may issue. She may want to rebel, but the square with Uranus may remind her of dire consequences if she does. The Sun entered Virgo the day before, shifting his energy to practical matters based on factual details. His square with Mars in Gemini indicates a conflict between facts being forced on people versus what's in the fine print. Does Virgo demand too much information?

Mercury, exalted in Virgo, joins Pluto and Neptune in a triangle of potential where Mercury and Neptune are in opposition. This suggests different opinions relative to facts versus deception or fantasy. Pluto mediates, perhaps setting the record straight with clarifying insights relative to what he's uncovered.

Uranus retrograde is the time to contemplate and digest what has occurred the past several weeks, months, and even years, but particularly anything that's occurred during the triple conjunction.

NEW MOON

The New Moon occurs 27 August at 4:04 Virgo. The T-square in place when Uranus stationed is still in effect and getting an added boost from the lunation, which is in partile square (within 3 minutes of arc) to Gemini Mars. This looks like a new battle related to information. Mercury has gone into Libra where he's trining Mars, perhaps trying to keep the peace, while opposite Jupiter in Aries, who may be blowing everything out of proportion. Pluto and Neptune are sextile, which could continue to bring inspiration or enlightenment relative to Pluto's housecleaning or more coverups. There's a quiet volatility about this chart. While Virgo tends to be relatively understated, that sign's propensity for details and truth at any cost can have a strong impact. Considering that a New Moon usually ushers in something new, this could capitalize on that Uranus energy lurking in the cosmos all month and deliver details with precision that cannot be ignored.
