MERCURY STATIONS DIRECT

Last month's horoscope began with Mercury stationing retrograde on 10 May and this one begins on 3 June with him stationing direct. He's been aspecting Neptune, Saturn, and Pluto for several days as he stationed, trying to extract information like Sergeant Joe Friday (for those of you old enough to remember). The Cancer Moon is tied in as well, providing an emotional kick, particularly in reaction to what Pluto contributes. Jupiter and Mars are conjunct, suggesting a huge angry reaction that causes friction with the comforts you've grown quite accustomed to. It's no secret that the world is currently in crisis. Unless you live under a rock or in your own little world, by now you have probably heard that food shortages are likely this coming fall and winter. Empty grocery shelves should have enlightened you to this, if nothing else. This is no revelation, so not what is likely to come out with this station as well as the days that follow. Pluto as well as some podcasters whom, as far as I know, are not astrologers, state this is a time that secrets will be revealed. Do not expect to hear them reported upon via CNN.

SATURN STATIONS RETROGRADE

Saturn retrograde typically brings obstacles, boundaries, and slows down bureaucratic processes even worse than usual. This occurs on 4 June and includes the same aspects as Mercury's station except for the Moon, which is a bit busier than yesterday. She's now in Leo, which tends to relate to events in a personal way. Whatever information has come out and been disruptive to your comfort zone. (We all like to eat, right?) So what do these aspects say about the coming retrograde period? Saturn rules such things as corporations, governments, authority figures in general, traditions, structure, and foundations of all kinds, literally and figuratively. Saturn RX is a time when things are torn down in preparation for rebuilding. Exactly how this is to be done is not apparent yet, but as the retrograde period progresses, it will become apparent. On a personal level, this is a time to prepare, if you haven't already done so. As my father always said, "It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it." Inflation has already decimated most people's budgets, so cutting back is likely already in progress. With prices high and some items not available, if you haven't already done some "prepping" it could be too late. Even if you're a starry-eyed optimist who believes everything will turn out fine, doing some practical planning "just in case" is advised. Those who have already lost their jobs and/or livelihoods courtesy of the plandemic already know what this is like. Those of you who may have sailed through that period unscathed should not assume your luck will continue.

FULL MOON

The Full Moon in Sagittarius is on 14 June. Sagittarius presides over the zodiacal 9th house, which includes belief systems, attitudes, politics, religion, higher learning, long-distance travel, other cultures, and your philosophy of life. Note that a Full Moon typically indicates an ending, culmination, or shift to a new phase. The lunation forms a mutable T-square with Neptune at the apex. Neptune in Pisces represents a lot of things, one of which is being too idealistic. It's okay to dream and visualize what you want and even to be a hopeless, starry-eyed optimist, but even those folks are likely to get hit between the eyes as the Gemini Sun emanates air sign logic that meets the philosophical Sagittarius moon. Somehow "London Bridge is falling down" comes to mind. The lunation is also forming a triangle of potential with Saturn, which brings us back to Saturn being retrograde and its implications for rebuilding. Uranus and Venus are conjunct, which looks like numerous surprises and disruptions related to your comforts. Mercury has gone into Gemini, to help with gathering and disseminating information. Uranus rules electricity and technology and definitely relate to today's lifestyle. Another dire prediction out there, from the government itself, is to be prepared for power blackouts. Not fun in the heat of summer. Are we having fun yet?

SUMMER (WINTER) SOLSTICE/CANCER INGRESS

The chart for when the Sun goes into a cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) marks when a new season begins. The chart is used in mundane, geopolitical, and astro-meteorology as an indicator of what to expect for the coming quarter.  The Cancer ingress chart for 21 June does not have too many aspects, but the ones that are there give some idea what to expect.  The Aries Moon suggests impulsive and potentially harmful angry reactions. The Moon is squaring the Sun, which implies the impetus for this frustration relates to your home in some way. Mercury sextile Jupiter implies there will be a profusion of information that causes what could be an exaggerated reaction. Venus squaring Saturn implies your comforts and needs are up against the establishment, which to me smells like inflation and other issues. Venus trining Pluto implies past actions relate to these discomforts or problems. Pluto relates to power and control, so this suggests that these matters are something over which you have no control. Mars is in Aries where he's strong and dignified keeping the Moon and Jupiter company, providing a lot of action-oriented, potentially volatile energy. Saturn semisextile Neptune suggests friction and annoyances between reality and illusions being put forth from various sources.

NEPTUNE STATIONS RETROGRADE

Neptune stations retrograde on 28 June with the New Moon arriving 18 hours, 57 minutes, and 23 seconds later. Thus, all of what Neptune initiates will be reinforced by the lunation. Neptune tends to be pretty unstable when direct, so he's crazier than ever when retrograde. Unlike the ingress chart, this one is loaded with aspects and represents matters that will be under review as Neptune backtracks through Pisces until December. The are four semi-sextiles, the aspect that typically indicates friction or annoyances. Three of them are partile, making them strong, while having so many suggests that one irritation will splash over into other areas and activate others. These include reality versus your dreams; unexpected information that causes major disruptions; anger and frustration at ongoing confusion and possibly deception; being forced to face to confront unpleasantries that affect your lifestyle or comfort zone.

Wanting to take action to make some changes, especially with Saturn retrograde, are likely to be stopped or complicated by not having the level of power, control, or authority needed to do so. The Gemini Moon brings logic to the emotional landscape, helping you think through the various challenges, changing your tactics, and doing what you can as you confront facts and reality. There will be numerous frustrations but little you can do about most of them. Prioritizing your resources and energy will be essential, so use both your head and your heart in making decisions, even though there will be times when they conflict. Conquering what is before you can bring numerous rewards, so don't give up. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

NEW MOON

The New Moon on 28 June is in Cancer and effectively reinforces the energies present for Neptune's station. New Moons bring something new into your life and in the sign of Cancer, these are likely to relate to your family and affect you at the emotional level.  The challenges will be big, but make sure you don't over-inflate them, but address them in a logical manner. Expect disruptions and recognize the fact things are not likely to go as planned, more often than not. It's time to put on your big girl or big boy panties and confront what needs to be done, like it or not.
