Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon this month is on the 9th and occurs in Libra, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighborhood events/situations, and short journeys. A Full Moon typically brings a culmination or new phase of something related to the House in which it occurs. It's important to understand that a Full Moon, by definition, is an opposition between the Sun and Moon, which astrologically ties in with where our head and heart lie respectively. Of course when we get these two elements together on an issue, it generally means we have it resolved to some degree, so a Full Moon will force the issue. It's no wonder that the Full Moon is notorious for people being a bit messed up as these two part of themselves confront one another and sometimes clash. The Moon is in fair and objective Libra for this one whereas the Sun is in assertive and energetic Aries, your 9th House of beliefs, higher learning, long distance travel, relocation, and legal matters. Therefore, the dialog will be between these two venues. For example, your heart may lie in your current location while your head is drawing attention to a relocation, to name one possibility. Each Full Moon has a character of its own, depending on its accompanying aspects. This one includes an aspect pattern known as a Triangle of Potential which put Jupiter in the position of mediator, tied into both the Sun and Moon with favorable aspects. Jupiter excels at helping us define our beliefs and he's currently in your 7th House of relationships. This implies that your resolution to whatever you're trying to synch up is likely to lie either in a relationship or perhaps in the advice given to you by someone close to you. Bear in mind that relationships in an astrological context include not only your significant other but close friends and relatives, business partners, and anyone else with whom you have a one-on-one relationship. If you're in business for yourself, this also includes your cliental. So look to these folks to help resolve what's on your mind. There are indications that your job or health may be involved as well, and will involve a conflict or challenge to your beliefs or expectations, or one of those other 9th House elements noted earlier. Pluto is in your 6th House of work, health, and pets, which will be in force for literally years to come. During this time expect numerous transformations to occur in this part of your life as anything that has been swept under the rug is exposed. Thus, anything going on related to your job or health is fair game. This could include such issues as job satisfaction as well. If you are totally misplaced as far as enjoying your work or finding satisfaction in it are concerned, you'll be confronting that at some time sooner or later. Maybe you've been putting off going back to school, your employer has been operating outside the law, or you really ought to consider relocating to another city. Now is the time to give some deep consideration to how you feel about how you earn your living. Retrograde Saturn is in your 2nd House of finance, possessions, pleasures and values, which also ties into all this. While RX, Saturn is telling you to restructure some part of your life since the first of the year and if you haven't figured out yet what that means, give it some thought. You should know what it is by mid-May and have your new approach in place by late September and this lunation is helping push you in the appropriate direction. Another influence out there indicates a change of course or adjustment is in order involves a personal transformation related to Mars. Mars in the 8th House is a placement to keep an eye on, which you'll need to do until April 22nd when he moves into Aries. This is because he often brings a lot of energy to this area that can be expressed in unsettling ways. If your birthday is within a day or so of August 12, pay particular attention to this admonition to be cautious. Now is not the time to take any unnecessary chances. Transformations are those thoughts, events, experiences, or situations that change us in ways that are often hard to describe, yet we're never quite the same person we were before. Other elements associated with the 8th House are sex, death and regeneration (figuratively as well as physically), and shared resources. Also note that Mars is opposite Saturn, who's restructuring your finances, values, or perhaps how you earn your living, so any transformational events that may occur are most likely to involve this area. Remember that the key to all this involves your relationship with someone or perhaps more than one person, but they will be close to you in one way or another. The New Moon on the 24th is in your 10th House of career and reputation. A New Moon brings something new into our life and it's certainly not rocket science to see how that Full Moon could easily tie into this. If your birthday is right around July 28th this lunation will be particularly influential. It will also be important to those born right around August 18th. While this New Moon is indicative of something new coming your way with respect to your career or reputation, it also brings some challenges along for the ride. It's going to bring some serious insights into your current work or health situation that will help drive your decisions. However, those relationships may get in the way this time. You may not have the support you need to move on or may affect those close to you in a challenging way. For example, you may have reasons to believe that your dream job lies in another city but your significant other simply may not want to move. Make sure that what you think is good news career-wise is based on fact, as the possibility for illusion or deception is out there as well. Get any offers in writing and make sure they're legitimate before making any important decisions. The indications are that there are opportunities for transformational change in all this. A new relationship may be involved, though I'm not saying that a knight (or princess) on a white horse is going to come along and rescue you, though it's a possibility, especially for those of you born around July 23-24. A financial windfall is also a slight possibility, so picking up a lotto ticket at this time isn't a bad idea, just don't buy more than one ticket. Remember that the lotto is a tax on those who are bad at math. The odds are very much against you, so buying a hundred tickets really doesn't increase your chances enough to be worth it. If it's meant to be, that one ticket will do the trick. If you were born around July 23-24 and happen to have Jupiter or Venus right around the first few degrees of Sagittarius, your chances are even better. Venus has also been retrograde since early March, the function of which serves to draw our attention to anything we've been neglecting. This has primarily been related to your beliefs and those 9th House issues, which as previously stated, relate to your beliefs and expectations along with various other things. For a short time this month she also slips into that 8th House of transformations, so that implies one of those "Aha!" moments is likely, probably April 11 - 23. Maybe that "Aha!" will be the key to other things as well. You can always hope! Short-term Aspects The various aspects this month will further support the themes inherent in the lunations. Right around April 3rd a change of course will be indicated related to those financial issues, based on an event of some description that will have a transformational effect. Expectations related to your job will be an element as well and could touch on that relocation issue, if it applies to your situation. This is also where some opportunities crop up with one of your relationships, perhaps to expand it in some way or someone close to you will provide some inspiration regarding a course of action. At any rate, the first week of the month is going to see some important events. On the 9th, Mercury goes into Taurus, which will start the information flow relative to those career and reputation issues and the Full Moon occurs then as well. On the 11th, Venus backs into Pisces, your 8th House of transformations, so keep an eye out for that big "Aha!" Work and career news, hopefully of a positive nature, is expected, and may also reveal some of that hidden information. Between April 14th - 17th expect (or beware of) something very surprising, unexpected, or disruptive. If there is one, single day of the month that you need to be extra careful and not take any chances, this is it, especially if your birthday is around August 17 - 18. Expect the unexpected. Those close to you will provide some inspiration in understanding or dealing with it. This is likely to either be or relate to that big "Aha!"; Venus goes direct on April 16th as well, implying her work is done in drawing your attention to something you've been neglecting or ignoring. Right around the 18th some expect some news or ideas related to your financial issues that may include that relocation issue or even something like going back to school; legal matters are another possibility. The Sun goes into Taurus, your 10th House of status and reputation, on the 19th, bringing more attention to this area. On April 21st Venus and Mars will form a conjunction in your 8th House of transformation, shared resources, and so forth. This begins what should be that lucky period, particularly for those of you with the July 23-24 birthdays. Mars goes into Aries the following day, so you can bid him good riddance from your 8th House and see what he's going to direct you to do regarding that relocation, higher learning, or legal matter, which includes contracts. A few disagreements or arguments are possible during this time and more job-related news is coming as well as Venus also goes into your 9th House and that New Moon occurs. At this point I'm inclined to say either "Whew!" or "Wow!" as far as this month is concerned for you Leos. It's going to be busy and possibly intense. There is some serious things going on in your life that you probably couldn't miss if you wanted to. The Universe tends to direct us in the path that is for our growth and ultimate benefit and it looks like there's a lot out there for you this month.
