Lunations and Long-term Aspects

The Full Moon this month is in Libra, your 1st House, which will be especially influential on those with a birthday on or around October 12th. A relationship is likely to be involved, and considering that this is a Full Moon we're talking about, it is most likely to involve a culmination, meaning either one will end or enter a new phase. Remember that by definition a Full Moon is an opposition between the Sun and the Moon, so that means that the Sun is in your 7th House of relationships, which are very important to Libras. A Sun - Moon opposition also implies that your head is in one place and your heart another.

Lunations have a character of their own, depending on the other aspects in effect at the time. This one includes an opposition between Saturn, who's retrograde in your 12th House of spirituality, dreams, and inspiration on the positive side and hidden enemies, confinement and institutions on the less than positive side, and Mars, who's in Pisces, your 6th House of work, health and pets. Saturn RX has been urging you to restructure something related to your 12th House, which is some pretty heavy stuff to consider, while Mars is urging you forward in your House of work and health; this could also imply a health issue that could have a strong emotional basis in something the should be addresses related to your spiritual health. Most disease hails from emotional issues, so if your health isn't everything you'd like, take a good hard look at your more spiritual side to determine what you've been missing in that area.

Your home environment, which includes your home and everything in it, is being dredged by Pluto these days, and if your birthday is on or a day or two from September 26, this will be hard to miss. This could relate to such things as electrical or plumbing problems, or things you've been sweeping under the rug regarding the people in your immediate family. The good news is that it's also a favorable time to address these matters and discuss them with the appropriate individuals. Adjustments will be required, and this could relate to either your health or work, depending on your situation. A very helpful aspect involves Jupiter, who's in your 5th House of creativity, children, romance, entertainment, and any way in which you express your ego. Libras tend to make so much effort to be fair to everyone else that they often let others walk on them, but Jupiter should help you stand up for yourself and your own needs. Jupiter is in positive aspect to both the Sun and Moon, so this will help mediate a resolution. There's also a chance that this could indicate a very creative solution or perhaps your children will be key in determining the outcome.

The New Moon on the 24th is in Taurus, your 8th House of transformations, shared resources, and sex as well as death & regeneration. If your birthday is right around September 28, this is likely to affect you more than other Libras. Transformations come when we experience something after which we're not the same as we were before at a very deep level. This lunation brings some challenges as well. This could come from an actual event or simply be a mental process of seeing things differently that you had before. The challenges associated with this New Moon are located in your 5th House, which as noted earlier includes your creativity, children, romantic interests, and ego. If I were to pick one for a Libra from that list, it would be "romantic interests" but it all depends on what's going on in your life at this time. However, the fact that Venus, your Sign Ruler, and Mars are in a very tight bear hug at the time implies that a new relationship is highly likely at this time, though it may introduce some conflicts on the home front, all of which is going to contribute to that transformation. An opportunity for change at work is likely to arise as well.

Also bear in mind that Venus has been retrograde since March 6th. Her mission in this state is to bring your attention to something you've been neglecting. She has been in your 7th House of relationships and backs into your 6th House of work and health for a brief time this month, so this is likely to be an area you should be thinking about pretty hard this month.

Short-term and Daily Aspects

The aspects that occur throughout the month are going to serve to reinforce the main events that tie into the Full and New Moon; something will go out of your life with the Full Moon and something new will enter with the New Moon, and it looks like it's all about relationships. This should definitely get your attention since this is a very important area for Libras due to the fact your Sign rules the zodiacal 7th House. Few if any Libras are what you'd call loners; the people in your life are of paramount importance.

The action starts on the 3rd, when some news or a conversation related to a relationship necessitates some adjustments, perhaps due to a disappointment of some type. This is going to bring some deep introspection relative to your homelife, while thoughts and/or conversations regarding romance or that relate to your children or ego expression will also be part of the mix. By the 6th, you have a good idea of what adjustments need to be made. Just make sure you're being realistic in what you decide. Mercury goes into Taurus, your 8th House, on April 9th, helping facilitate those transformational thoughts, with the Full Moon occurring also at that time.

On April 11 Venus backs into Pisces, your 6th House of work, health, and pets, and will thus be nudging you toward something you've been neglecting in that area. On the 15th, a big surprise, unexpected event, or disruption will occur related to work or your health; don't take any unnecessary chances on that day, give or take a day or two, as you're likely to be accident prone. This is also a good place to point out that your work and health are very much tied in with each other; nothing will bring on a stress-related illness quicker than being unhappy in your job. This is also a time for you to remember that your happiness is just as important as anyone else's; don't let people walk on you or put you on a guilt trip.

Venus goes direct on April 16th, so if you haven't figured out by now what you've been neglecting, it should start to become apparent real soon. If you've felt confined or trapped in a relationship, now is a favorable time to give that some serious thought. The Sun goes into Taurus on the 19th, bringing even more energy to that transformation. April 21st is when that Venus - Mars conjunction will occur, which is a very favorable aspect for meeting someone new or having a very pleasant encounter within an existing relationship, even though others may discourage you. At this time the Sun will also be drawing out some of those home issues that have been swept under the rug. The New Moon occurs on the 24th, and thus something new will come into your life that has been evolving all month.

This should be an very interesting and potentially significant month for you. Transformations don't happen that often and there is a high probability that you'll have at least one during the month. These small but significant shifts in our perceptions are what cumulatively affect us throughout our lifetime. Over time we may forget the actual experience, but its effects will remain. It's important to pay close attention to what's going on around you, its origin and where it's likely to lead as you make decisions for the results are going to be with you for a long time.
