Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month we have another Full Moon/Lunar eclipse which will further reinforce the themes introduced by the ones in July. As you may recall, this particular eclipse family has a specific influence which entails sudden reforms, the necessity for finding new approaches to old problems, and in some cases the forceful removal of any obstacles to these goals. This one falls in your 5th House of creativity, ego, children, romance, speculation and entertainment. This is usually a fairly pleasant house, anyway, and if your birthday is around October 7th, give or take a day or so, it will have an even stronger effect since the Moon will trine your Natal Sun. In fact, the Sun/Moon pair will create a Triangle of Potential with your Natal Sun, which would bode very well for working toward any goals you have in mind that require creativity and the involvement of others in some way. Human nature being what it is, we tend to notice the contrary influences of eclipses more than those that are positive, but the good news for Libras is that these should be one of the good ones. Use it to think about your creative side, your children, romance, enjoying yourself and how to use these parts of your life to reduce some of the stress that may be out there in others. Some of the other aspects associated with this eclipse include another Triangle of Potential that will stimulate your spiritual side, which also can tie into de-stressing any conflicts between home and your career. Things are looking favorable in the career department this month, but sometimes that can stir things up at home in one way or another. Sometimes it keeps us away from home more than we'd like or irritates others in our household for one reason or another. Getting in touch with your dreams and seeking some inspiration will help you identify where your priorities should be and assist you in balancing this out in a favorable way. One aspect that could give you a bit of grief involves an assault on your beliefs by either yourself or someone else. If you've been feeling guilty about anything lately, this is probably what will set it off. Another possibility is an authority figure of some description giving you a bad time about something that relates to higher learning or a legal matter. If you're trying to relocate responsibilities, obligations, restrictions, or delays will get in your way. These should loosen up by the end of September; trying to make progress prior to that will be an exercise in futility. Through all of this don't forget the theme of this eclipse is sudden reforms and new approaches, so think outside the box when you're seeking solutions. The New Moon on August 20 is in Leo, your 11th House of groups, organizations, friends, and aspirations. This will bring something new into your life and whatever it is, it should be interesting given all the aspect patterns involved. If your birthday is within a few days of October 21 keep an eye out for a new opportunity hailing from one of those areas. First of all there's a T-square between Mercury, Saturn, Uranus and Mars that will start with a surprise from work that will involve news of sort coming down from on high and could involve an increase in responsibilities. A relocation may also be required, which could be the source of the conflict as it will cause major disruptions at home. Look at this at all angles to decide what course is best for all concerned. There are three Triangles of Potential out there, all of which offer a means for solving a dilemma of some sort. The first one brings inspiration to expand your creative endeavors, but to do so may step on someone else's toes. In order to get past this you either need to change your belief system, pursue that relocation if it's a viable option, or possibly furthering your education; legal action is another possibility, though somewhat remote. This could also involve your children, romantic partner or even some speculative venture. The second one probably involves the same issue, whatever that may be, but throws some old baggage into the mix. This will relate to your home or the people in it and need to be resolved, though in this case that new goal, friend or organization is going to help you find a viable solution. The third one relates to your dreams, sense of responsibility and whatever is going on with your job and career, with the career shining a beacon for your to navigate by. There is also a double yod with this New Moon. Also known as the finger of God, these usually point us in a certain direction that will require some changes of direction. The way to identify what this is for you is to take another look at your dreams and whether or not you feel guilty pursuing them. As noted earlier, inspiration is out there, perhaps lots of it, but this doesn't ever come with a guarantee. However, if you've been thinking of making a career change, possibly a radical one, that involves finding something that is more soul-satisfying then it may pay to look at this carefully. On the other hand, considering that that inspiration part involves planets that are retrograde and thus seldom fulfill their promises, if you feel as if you're being pushed in such a direction, make sure it's not a pipe dream before quitting your day job. Illusions and inspiration are both associated with Neptune, who's one of the operative planets, so throw in a lot of careful research along with any soul-searching. It's possible you've been clinging to a pipe dream that isn't viable, so be as objective and practical as possible before making any major decisions. Short-term and Daily Aspects August 1 - 3: Thoughts and information will be coming your way this month that relates to things unseen. A tug-o-war between home and career is ramping up for consideration. August 5: The Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse occurs on this date with influences as described above. August 7: Thoughts regarding your true ambitions toward your career are stirring up a few ideas worth consideration. August 10: Your dreams have been on hold lately along with various other restrictions and speedbumps. More obstacles could surface today. You may realize you need to continue your education to attain your goals, have a showdown with your expectations, or at the worst, encounter a legal battle of some description. Relocating may also be an issue. August 13 - 14: Ethics, creativity, and the drive to attain something are themes today. Something you want to accomplish involves your beliefs, which may be in the process of being remodeled. Your children, romantic interests, or even some speculations could be in the queue as well. A friend or your involvement with a group may throw some light on the subject as well. August 17 - 18: The aspects that will be further emphasized by that New Moon on the 20th are starting to line up. Talking about your ideas with a friend could yield an opportunity to see things more clearly or put them in the proper context. Thoughts about your responsibilities, lessons learned, or obstacles, particularly those that are self-imposed, will play across your mental landscape today as well. If you've been unrealistic, too idealistic, or delusional, you are likely to see that for what it is, provided you can muster up the required humility. If you do, you'll be surprised to find out that you have actually impressed someone at work who could help with those career aspirations, so don't trip over your ego. Nudge your beliefs and expectations, even if they're strictly about yourself, in the proper direction. August 19: Serious thoughts about your direction in life and where you should go from here will be ramping up today and persist through the New Moon. If you've felt confined or limited, this train of thought could be the answer. August 20: The New Moon occurs on this date as described above. August 21 - 22: Your thoughts regarding what you'd really like to be doing are going to be in opposition to what you need to be doing. Weigh the costs of the former carefully. The Sun goes into Virgo, your 12th House, on the 22nd, bringing some extra emphasis and light to your dreams and anything that's holding you back. If you typically let others walk on you and you're a people pleaser, it's time to be your own best friend for a change. Some favorable and unexpected will come up at work today. Give some deep thought to your homelife and anything about it, past or present, that is further holding you back. August 25: Mercury goes into Libra today, which will stimulate your thought processes and help you think more clearly and logically. Mars goes into Cancer, your 10th House of career, bringing a burst of energy to that venue, though those thoughts are going to clash with it somehow. August 26: Your thoughts and either those of a family member or unloaded baggage from your past are going clash today. There's no time like the present to clear the air. Career and home are going to be the basis of any conflict, so recognize it for what it is. August 27: Venus goes into Leo, your 11th House of friends, organizations, group associations, and aspirations. This will help you make favorable impressions to help advance your cause.
