Lunations and Long-term Aspects

This month the Sun is transiting your 11th House of groups, associations, friends, hopes and wishes, bringing emphasis to this part of your life until the 20th when he moves into Cancer, your 12th House of inspiration, enlightenment, dreams, confinement, institutions, and how you relate to the collective consciousness. While the Sun is in Gemini you will be even more drawn than usual to socializing with your friends and group activities. It's also worth noting that the North Node (of the Moon's orbit) is in Leo and indicating some major life changes are in progress for those of you with birthdays between July 23 - 26.

The Full Moon on June 7th occurs in Sagittarius, your 5th House of ego, romance, children, entertainment, and speculation. Leo rules the Zodiacal 5th House so these are elements that are near and dear to your heart. The Full Moon indicates a culmination or change of phase is afoot in one or more of these areas. This lunation will have the strongest effect on those of you born within a few days one way or the other of August 10. Overall, the effect will be positive as it will create a Triangle of Potential with your Natal Sun, putting you in charge of the outcome. As always, the aspects accompanying this lunation color its effects. One worth noting is the T-square formed between the opposing Sun and Moon (definition of a Full Moon) and Saturn who's in Virgo, your 2nd House of finance, possessions, values, needs, and pleasures. Saturn has been throwing a wet blanket on this part of your life for quite a while now and his work is only half complete. As members of the Zodiacal "royal family" Leos like nice things and don't always handle their finances as well as they should. If this rings true for you, you are currently being tutored in this area. There are undoubtedly things you'd like to do that your bank account simply won't support. Recognize you have lessons to learn in this area and the financial beatings will stop sooner than if you persist in going into debt. This economy is not the time to expect to live as luxuriously as you'd like, which truly sucks but is something you need to accept, if you haven't already. This is but one lesson inherent in this Full Moon.

Another involves a trine between Pluto in your 6th House of work, health, pets, and service and a conjunction involving Mars and Venus in Taurus, your 10th House of career, status, and reputation. This implies that Pluto is stirring up some transformations relative to your 6th House that require your attention, but doing so will bring some positive results regarding your career ambitions. If you're not entirely happy with your current job and have been considering one that would bring you more satisfaction, Mars in your 10th will give you some drive to pursue goals in that area and Venus will bring you some luck and allow you to project yourself in a favorable manner. If you've been trying to advance yourself on the job or perhaps find a new one, this is a favorable aspect that will assist you in that direction. Due to that Mars/Venus conjunction, it also implies that you may meet someone at work or maybe already have and have been trying to keep it a secret, which will come out at this time, though the results appear to be positive. A Mars/Venus conjunction generally drives us to find a partner if we don't already have one and to connect even closer with one we already have. I've already seen this aspect's affect in an increase in requests for compatibility readings and reports.

Another aspect that will be out there for not only the Full Moon but the entire summer is a triple conjunction or stellium involving Jupiter, Neptune, and the asteroid, Chiron. Not only are they in the same sign, but in the same degree for this lunation. Since they all move relatively slowly, this will be the case for most the month, making this a very strong influence. By the end of the month all three will also be retrograde, prolonging it even further. This will be going on in Aquarius, your 7th House of relationships and will be in effect long enough to be noticed. What it will accomplish has a plethora of possibilities which are best explained by reviewing the function of the entities involved. Jupiter expands and inflates whatever he touches and also influences our beliefs and ethics.

Neptune rules idealism and illusions amongst other things. Neither of these are inherently good or bad unless taken to extremes, one way or the other. A perfect example of Neptune is photography and the cinema, both of which are an illusion; neither is real, only the representation of something that may or may not be real; add Photoshop or special effects and it's even more of an illusion. Whether it's good or bad lies in its intent and how you react to it. Does it inspire or does it create a delusion? One thing to remember is that we cannot expect perfection unless we can offer it, something very important to remember in relationships.

Chiron, the wounded healer, relates to the various hurts we receive whether they're of a physical, mental, emotional or even financial nature. Where Chiron resides in your Natal Chart will determine where the most significant ones will occur. We are expected to learn from these wounds and then go forward to assist those similarly affected. Thus, Chiron can be about wounding or it can be about healing. You may be the recipient or dispenser of either.

Where the challenge comes along is in tying these three influences together and applying them to your relationships. This could be a time of hurt, healing, or even both. It appears to involve an illusion or deception related to a relationship. Jupiter could be inflating your sense of idealism, delusion, or even compassion. However it works out for you, it's going to be significant. This process will be triggered by news or perhaps simply a thought that hails from your 10th House of career, status and reputation. One negative possibility is that you find out that someone you've been dating is married. Or maybe you're the one who's married and you'll finally fess up. Uranus is also tied into this trio and as the planet of disruptions, surprises, rebellion and the unexpected who's operating from your 8th House of transformations, he will undoubtedly affect or trigger this news in a disruptive or unexpected way. Mercury is the source of this news or information and he will quickly move on, but the disruptions and effects of the stellium will linger on for quite a while.

On the positive side, maybe your soulmate will suddenly appear and carry you off on that white horse or, if you're the guy, you'll be the one rescuing the princess of your dreams. You could be brought together by unpleasant circumstances, yet benefit because it brought you together. Maybe you've been secretly in love with someone who you knew was unhappily married for years and you find out that they just got a divorce, opening up various possibilities. There are infinite ways this could play out that will be unique to you.

Remember that relationships in this context are not only a significant other but can also involve a close friend, family member, or business partner. At any rate, it appears that you may find something out that is not exactly favorable about someone in your life, it may be something they discover about you, or you may find your ideal partner. No telling. It may not be especially dramatic, but it is going to have an effect on how you see that person and how you relate to those close to you in the future. And all of this is inherent in the Full Moon with reinforcements hailing from the daily aspects noted below.

The New Moon occurs on June 22 in Cancer, your 12th House of dreams, enlightenment, inspiration, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies, and how you relate to the collective consciousness. A New Moon brings something new into your life and it will be in this venue. The Sun and Moon will be opposite Pluto in your 6th House of work, implying something previously kept hidden or secret will come to light in that part of your life. This is likely to come as a surprise and represent a disruption of some description. It may or may not be related to the happenings at the time of the Full Moon; it could be the prologue to the next phase or something entirely different. At this time the Mars/Venus conjunction is exact which bodes well for meeting someone and that pair is trine Saturn, which indicates an increase in commitment in a positive way. Since Leos live in the House that rules romance, this ought to make for some interesting times.

Short-term Aspects

June starts out with Venus opening up some opportunities relative to the beliefs and expectations you have regarding your relationships. Around June 3rd your career ambitions may receive a boost when you find out something at work you didn't know before that can work in your favor. On the 5th a financial challenge of some sort is likely, perhaps something as simple as your friends inviting you to go do something that you can't afford at this time. Now is not the time to try to keep up with the Joneses, if you know what I mean. Nonetheless, there is also a possibility at this time that you may get a promotion, raise, or bonus at work that will bring you some hope in this area. Just don't get carried away and go out and spend it without a lot of forethought. The Full Moon comes along on the 7th, which was explained in laborious detail earlier. On the 8th expect more favorable news on the career front or something that enhances your public image in some way. Come June 9th more news or information will affect you in a significant way, perhaps changing your view of something. About this same time is when that news will come out that stirs up all that relationship business noted above.

On June 15, news or information will surface via a coworker will necessitate some adjustments regarding your job. If you don't already know what's going on in that relationship area, it should become obvious on the 17th. On June 20th, the Sun goes into Cancer, bringing emphasis to 12th House issues. Any romantic connections will reach their peak on June 21 and further validated by the New Moon on the 22nd. The next day more secrets or hidden information related to your work will come out that could affect your career. Remember that in chaos there is always opportunity, so even if it doesn't appear favorable, you can make it so. More data pertaining to those financial challenges is out there on the 26th, which is why I told you to be frugal earlier.

This should be an interesting and challenging month. A lot of what is going on will involve an emotional impact, even if it's of a positive nature. It will be important to employ logic in your actions and decisions as much as possible, particularly as they relate to any relationships. You are very likely to not be seeing things clearly, so bear that in mind at all times. Career, job, and relationships are all activated this month and you July Leos will be probably seeing some life changes. If they've been developing for a long time, now is when they're most likely to manifest. Be sure to take time to relax and ponder upon what's going on around you so that you don't make any rash or hasty decisions you may regret later. You're very creative by nature but don't let this work against you by fantasizing. Now is a time to harness every ounce of common sense you've got.
