Lunations and Long Term Aspects

The Full Moon this month on the 10th is in Virgo, your 9th House of legal matters, higher education, long distance travel, beliefs, and relocation. Remember that "beliefs" encompasses everything from your core beliefs to politics and religion. Full Moons typically indicate the culmination of something, into to completion or to enter a new phase. Thus, if you've been pursuing something in one of the previous areas there's a good chance it will come to a conclusion or at least another stage this month. Since I've been trying to sell my house since November, I can always hope this will mean a sales contract, but with Venus going retrograde on the 6th plus our Sign Ruler, Saturn, also retrograde, somehow, to quote Luke Skywalker, "I have a bad feeling about this," especially in view of that Pluto transit some of us are undergoing at this time. However, if you're in the same boat that I am, at least we can commiserate.

That Full Moon has some interesting elements, including Uranus tucked in next to the Sun and Saturn snuggled up to the Moon. Those two planets have been yanking us back and forth between the desire for change and stability and security for quite a while now and this lunation will give it some additional punch. Interestingly enough, however, the Moon is paired up with Saturn, which will lend more emotional import to the security side while the Sun will throw more light on the need for change. This is confused even further by the fact that the Sun and Uranus are in intuitive and emotional Pisces while the Moon and Saturn are in practical Virgo. So if your mind and heart are duking it out in a battle that comprises the entire emotional spectrum that is undoubtedly the cause.

Jupiter and Venus are assisting in this, however, and will present an opportunity of some description that will have something to do with your financial situation, hopefully in a good way. Venus will be retrograde in your 4th House of home environment, which will be stirring up your awareness, even subconsciously, of something you've been neglecting in that area. Since Jupiter is in your 2nd House of possessions, finances and pleasures, more than likely it will tie in with that. If you've been a little more careless than you should be with your spending or neglecting yourself, expect something to come along that will help rectify that situation. Deep thought and introspection is also favored, which will further assist you in your quest.

The New Moon on the 26th is in Aries, your 4th House of home environment, so you can see this will be a fairly busy venue this month. As the Full Moon brings something to a close, the New Moon will usher something in. If your birthday is within a few days one way or another of December 28th, this may come in the form of a crisis or conflict, though it may be more of a psychological or emotional nature. Time will tell.

From March 14 - 31 our Sign Ruler, Saturn, will be quincunx Jupiter. A quincunx generally indicates an adjustment or change of course is in order and sometimes a Catch-22 situation. Saturn is in your 9th House, as you recall, and Jupiter is in your 2nd of finance and so forth. Thus, whatever that legal, academic, travel, belief, or relocation matter is, Saturn is already ruminating on it since he's retrograde, but in addition, Jupiter is going to come along with something related to your pocketbook that necessitates a change of plan. If you think I like any of this, you're sadly mistaken, but the truth of the matter is that we're in this together so just need to deal with it. This lovely aspect (Not!) will be exact and thus the strongest on the 22nd.

Obviously this month a whole bunch is going to be going on relative to home, our finances, and 9th House stuff, which is quite broad, though undoubtedly something there will apply to you.

Short Term Aspects

Are we having fun yet? Okay, on March 1st a precursor to all that Saturn-Jupiter business will be out there so keep your ear to the ground and you'll get at least a hint of what it's all about. The first thing that springs to mind is doing your taxes, which may bring some relevant news. One thing to hope for is that in this case that quincunx will be of a positive nature. In my experience, just because a change is required doesn't mean it's a bad one. So we can always hope. That same day you will have a tremendous amount of mental energy which should assist you in brainstorming your financial situation, for good or ill. If your situation is less than enchanting, this could tend you toward being defensive or combative, so make sure you use it in positive ways.

March 5th - 8th will bring a time that can be greatly inspired or sadly delusional. It's a time where you may be able to comprehend esoterical ideas that escaped you before or express yourself well artistically, but as far as verbal communication that is mutually understood is concerned, forget it. You shouldn't take anything you hear carte blanche at this time or over-extend yourself physically, either, as your energy level will be low. If you're helping someone else with purely selfless intent, this should go well, but expect your ego to be tromped otherwise. Don't believe everything you hear and don't make any important decisions during this time as deception is highly likely.

As all that winds down, you should start seeing the writing on the wall on the 8th as far as that 9th House issue, whether it's related to your beliefs or moving across the country. Thoughts and ideas will flow, enabling you to start putting the pieces together of at least the frame of whatever this is all about for you. A few days later on the 10th that Full Moon will do its work, which will also relate to this area in some way. In other words, there are some ongoing themes in your life right now and this month the Universe is going to be working them with you.

On March 12 some major innovative thoughts are possible; you may even surprise yourself with what you come up with. You may also decide to take a short trip spontaneously or one of your neighbors may cause a disruption or disturbance. Uranus is involved with this one which can mean just about anything. Expect some tension or an irritation of some sort on the 13th, possibly related to finances.

More ideas relative to that 9th House business will be coming your way on the 18th, or it might also involve obtaining some additional information. With luck, it may be something that helps you put a few more pieces together. This will be followed on the 19th with a nice burst of energy accompanied by some insights regarding your long-term goals. You may see something within yourself that you missed before or recognize a change in your approach or attitude is in order. It should be a fruitful day, however, that will help you redirect your energy as you get a better idea where you need to go. A major brainstorm is predicted for the 21st, which will be even more useful for getting you going in the right direction. On the 22nd that Jupiter - Saturn quincunx described above peaks, perhaps revealing even further what change of course you need to make.

Your awareness of what needs to be done about something relative to your home environment will increase on the 23rd, perhaps to a profound and life-changing level. This may be precipitated by a crisis of some description that changes your view of things significantly. That New Moon comes along on the 26th, possibly ushering something new into your life. The next day, on the 27th, deep thoughts and introspections of a transformational nature are likely which will once again involve your home environment. More than likely you are changing along with your environment, whether or not you've noticed it before or not. From this point until the end of the month there will be significant happenings related to home. Attention will be on your home finances along with new information. If you haven't figured out by now where that New Moon was shoving you, you should by then.

Clearly this month there's a lot going on at home and regarding something comprised by the 9th House, which happens to be one of those areas that covers a lot of territory. It could be as subtle as changing your beliefs about something, though it could certainly be more profound. At any rate, this should be an important month that will set you in a new direction in some way.
