Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon on November 2 falls in Taurus, your 8th House of transformations, intimate relationships, shared resources, debt, taxes, and death and regeneration. Obviously this is a rather intense house that contains those things tend to change us in some way such that we see life through a different lens after a related experience. Since a Full Moon typically denotes an ending, culmination or sometimes the closure of one phase preparatory to the next, you should be able to identify something in this part of your life that will attain closure or shift to another level. First of all note that this Full Moon occurs across what is known as the Axis of Desire where the Sun is in your 2nd House of possessions, finance, needs and pleasures and the Moon in the 8th which comprises those things noted above. With the Sun transiting your 2nd House there will be an emphasis on those things that you value, including any and all comforts and pleasures in life. Mismanagement of this sector can result in financial stress and debt, which shifts into the 8th as they attain another level. For example, I don't need to tell you that there's a significant difference between the pleasure attained via a good cup of coffee versus screaming, orgasmic sex. So at some point, 2nd House issues tend to jump across the horoscope. The 8th also contains anything that effects a personal transformation. These frequently involve those things already discussed but also comprise anything that changes you in some way, such as deeply emotional or earth-shattering experiences as they tend to give you a different perspective regarding life and possibly death. These can be very, very cool or traumatic, but the common factor is that in some way afterwards you're a different person. The aspects associated with this lunation lend further clues to what its affect or source may be. Most obvious is a T-square formed by Mars who is squaring both the Sun and Moon from Leo, your 11th House of friends, group associations, coworkers, hopes, wishes and goals. Those last few items may seem a bit out of place in this house, but in most cases they depend on or involve others in some manner for their achievement. Mars in this House will give you plenty of energy and drive for such pursuits, whether its your own personal goals or activities involving your friends and associates. Thus, there will be some sort of tension or perhaps excitement that you're sharing with a group with regard to this experience. The energy generated by sharing an experience with others intensifies it through the collective effect of deep emotions which also helps explain why these frequently bond us to those people in an otherwise unexplainable manner. For example, going to college, enduring boot camp or completing an important project that entailed hard work typically bond us to those who shared the experience, often for the rest of our lives. This is one reason why reunions tend to be popular as individuals regroup with those with whom they shared an important part of their life. With Mars involved there's the potential for this event to have a element of intense energy, violence, or other Martian influences, such as an accident, act of war, fire, surgery, or anything else that involves a lot of excitement such as a rousing football game or rock concert, or adventures of just about any type. Other aspects in effect include a square between Saturn and Pluto which is going to be hanging in there until March 2010. These two astrological bad boys in hard aspect in angular houses for you with Saturn in your 1st House of personality and Pluto in your 4th House of home environment. Saturn in your 1st House, which will be in effect for a few years, will have a somewhat sobering effect. If your birthday is within a day or so of September 23 you are probably already feeling this. Saturn on your Natal Sun or ascendant can have a very heavy and dark effect that can be downright depressing, particularly when you don't know or understand what it is. Fortunately it won't be as intense the entire time he's in Libra, only when he's within a degree or so of a Natal Planet or chart element such as a house cusp. In order to handle this effectively you need to understand Saturn's function, which is to impose structure, discipline, responsibility, and ultimately wisdom. Now is the time to look at your life and see where you can improve in this area. Libras are all about relationships and have a tendency to define themselves and their actions based on the people they associate with. If these individuals are on the irresponsible side, then you have probably picked up some of their bad habits and Saturn will be wagging his figurative finger in your face to get you to shape up. Libras are also pretty easy-going, so you may not be taking your responsibilities as seriously as you should, in which case you'll be seeing a few reminders in the form of consequences if this applies to you. You also tend to be driven by a strong sense of fairness which is usually a good thing, but there are times when something is more black and white than you recognize and you may make excuses for people or situations that simply don't deserve it. Being too fair is a form of indecisiveness, another trait Libras frequently embrace because they're so busy looking at both sides. For example, if you are serving on a jury maybe you need to bear in mind that an ax murderer is what he or she is and there are lots of individuals with unhappy childhoods who do not resort to violence to express their lack of love. The individual either did it or not and rationale has nothing to do with the end result unless perhaps it was in self-defense. Pluto in your 4th House is going to stir up the past as it relates to your home environment, including not only the present but clear back to your childhood. Any unresolved issues are going to be exposed, no matter how deeply they may have been buried, but the good news is that this will give you the opportunity to confront and resolve them. If your family relationships are healthy, then Pluto in this house can also stir up problems related to your home such as plumbing and electrical problems or sometimes such lovely experiences as rat or cockroach infestations or whatever vermin resides in your particular area; scorpions are particularly Plutonian, if they have them where you're located. Thus, you might want to invest in a home warranty and keep the phone number of a reliable exterminator handy. When you put Saturn and Pluto together you can see how it will stir up all sorts of potentially unpleasant issues. A classic example would be blaming your irresponsible behavior on your upbringing. In this case, these two planets are going to be in your face screaming, "I don't THINK so!" On the positive side it's an excellent time and opportunity to rid yourself of any self-defeating behaviors or hang-ups that are keeping you from achieving what you're capable of. On the positive side, your Sign Ruler, Venus, is also in your 1st House which will help soften some of these effects, at least until November 7th when she goes into your 2nd House. (That will actually be useful, too, however, if you're dealing with any financial issues, but I digress.) For the purposes of the Full Moon Venus is forming a T-Square with the Lunar Nodes, which indicate when something is coming into your life (North Node) or conversely, going out (South Node) so this aspect indicates a transition of sorts. The North Node is in fellow Cardinal Sign, Capricorn, your 4th House, which is where Pluto is also residing, implying that something new is coming with respect to your home environment. This could be a local move, someone coming or going from your household, or even something as simple as buying new furniture. The South Node is in your 10th House of career, status, reputation and public image, indicating something will be fading into the past in that area. This would be a classic aspect for someone who was quitting work to stay home with their children or perhaps retiring. However, there are a host of other possibilities. Most people don't understand the implications of the 10th House's applicability to their "status." One easy way to put that into perspective is to consider titles and labels the people have. For example, if you get married or divorced, it's a status change. Likewise when you become a parent or your last child leaves home, you buy your first house, become a student or graduate from school, get promoted or fired, are elected to public office, get arrested, and so forth. Any of these events affect your status, which in turn defines your public image. With the South Node in that house implying something is going away it's probably more accurate to look at it as a change from one phase to another, which is also typical of the Full Moon. Also note that Uranus is sextile the North Node, indicating the opportunity for a change in this area that might come by surprise. Uranus is in your 6th House of work, health, and pets so this change is likely to hail from one of those areas. This could be an opportunity to work from home or start a new project, acquiring a new pet, getting a great deal on some workout equipment, or something along those lines. Back to Venus, she is also tied into Uranus with a quincunx, further strengthening the likelihood of an unexpected change of course or an adjustment of some sort. Venus is trine Neptune and the asteroid, Chiron, as well, which are both in your 5th House of creativity, ego expression, romance, children, speculation, hobbies, entertainment and so forth, anything that you identify with and expresses who and what you are. Neptune provides a dreamy, inspired quality that can be very beneficial for creativity, though he can also tend to make you a bit too idealistic when it comes to romance or your children. A trine with Venus has a very romantic, fairy tale quality to it, which could be rather pleasant, but not necessarily permanent or real. However, a relationship started under this aspect would definitely have some advantages over other possibilities. The trine to Chiron could indicate the healing of past disappointments or providing solace to someone suffering from something you've already experienced. And thus shine's this month's Full Moon. The New Moon on November 16 is in Scorpio, indicating something new on the horizon that's related to your 2nd House of finance, possessions, needs, pleasures, comforts, and anything else you value. The New Moon is squaring Neptune and Chiron, indicating a challenge of some sort. Perhaps you'll get a raise, yet it will take away some of your time and energy that you previously devoted to your hobbies or some other element of the 5th House as noted above. Another possibility is that you get a raise or some other windfall, yet it immediately disappears in additional expenses. Saturn is trine Mercury in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys, which should provide useful information related to those things Saturn wants you to work on; bear in mind that the Saturn - Pluto square is still in effect as well. There's a nice Sextile Pattern in effect that comprises the North Node at the apex and the New Moon and Uranus at the base, further emphasizing something new coming into your home environment that will be pleasant in nature. Your Sign Ruler, Venus, is square Mars in your 11th House of groups, hopes and wishes which could indicate an unexpected expense related to your group associations. Interactions with the opposite sex could also be a bit tense during this time. Short-term and Daily Aspects November 1: Expect news or information related to your finances that may interfere with something you had planned, such as an unexpected expense that keeps you from pursuing a weekend away. Another possibility is a group activity of some sort that is going to cost you money, even if it's something you want to attend. November 2: Full Moon today as described above. November 3: Neptune comes out of retrograde, allowing his energy to be expressed more openly. Perhaps one of your dreams will come out of hiding and start moving toward fulfillment or you'll define a new one. November 5 - 7: A clear view of something related to your personal values, possessions or finances will come your way during this period that is going to relate to those increased responsibilities and your home environment in some manner. Venus goes into Scorpio on the 7th, which should assist with any financial issues or anything that has to do with your comfort level. November 8: Further understanding of the events of the past few days will come to light today along which could affect expanding upon some sort of speculation or other expression regarding who and what you are. Romance or children may be involved in some way as well along with an additional responsibility or meeting one. Nonetheless, there is an opportunity to take care of something with respect to your home environment, past or present. November 10 - 11: Financial issues continue or something else related to your comfort level. Perhaps you want to pursue something but aren't sure you can afford it, either financially or emotionally. Unexpected news or a surprise related to work or a project is likely, but it should be of a positive nature. If you've not been seeing something as it really is, the bubble is likely to burst during this period as well. November 14: Disruptions relative to work or your financial and personal comfort levels will continue today. The ultimate results should be positive, however, once the dust settles. November 15: Mercury goes into Sagittarius today, which will enhance your thought process, helping you to sort out the various things that are going on in your life at this time. This will include recognizing those areas of responsibility you need to work on as well as provide a glimpse of those household issues from the past or that lie hidden awaiting your attention. Your energy level may be low or you may feel discouraged or overwhelmed. November 16: New Moon today as described above. November 19 - 21: Interactions with the opposite sex are likely to be tense, though not necessarily unpleasant. Consider you sense of financial responsibility and how it synchs up with your upbringing to identify any changes you should make. Also give some thought to your personal values and their origin and whether they're in harmony with your experience in life. The Sun goes into Sagittarius on the 21st, bringing additional light and emphasis to your thoughts and ideas. November 23 - 24: You may want to pursue something yet don't know how you'll find the needed funding. You may also have a tendency to be over-confident today which could get you in a fix if you're not careful. Give any actions at this time plenty of thought. Developing a new approach that employs more discipline is favored. November 25 - 26: Watch for a pleasant surprise of some sort today, probably related to work or a project you're pursuing. If you're involved in some sort of group endeavor, you'll come up with some very useful ideas during this time, so be sure to express yourself. Romantic encounters will have a dreamy quality, making it a pleasant time. If you're considering buying something but don't think you can afford it you probably can't, so you'd do well to resist it. November 29: A fruitful time for ideas related to those things that you enjoy most whether it's your hobbies, some form of entertainment, speculation or enjoying your children or romantic interests. Activities with groups may trigger vivid memories from your childhood or unearth other issues related to your home environment. November 30: Unexpected or disruptive news related to work will give you plenty to think about, but your ability to solve any problems is strong. What does the coming year hold for you?
