Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month the New Moon on the 14th occurs in your polar sign, Aries, which will have the strongest impact on those of you with birthdays between October 16 - 20. Aries is your 7th House of relationships so this suggests that someone new will come into your life. Remember that the 7th comprises all close relationships including not only your significant other but all close friends and relatives, business partners, and those professionals with whom you interact such as your financial advisor, dentist, and hair stylist to name a few. The aspects accompanying this lunation as well as the Full Moon two weeks later indicate that changes and adjustments are on the way, so take heed and prepare as appropriate. First of all, there are two quincunxes, an aspect that by its very nature implies an adjustment or change of course is called for, perhaps due to a Catch-22 situation; having to justify your position is another possibility. One involves Pluto and Mars which are currently residing in Capricorn and Leo, respectively. Capricorn is your 4th House of home environment where Pluto's presence will encourage you to rid yourself of anything that is no longer useful. Now is the time to clean out the garage and attic to say nothing of those closets. You may also encounter various problems with systems that are hidden from sight such as plumbing and electrical. If you don't already have a home warranty you might want to give it some thought. If there are any family issues that you've been ignoring expect them to be dug up for resolution as well. Mars is in your 11th House of groups, organizations, friends, networking, goals, hopes and wishes. This suggests that it might be time to reassess your priorities and determine whether you life is properly balanced between home and socializing. Maybe you need to get out more or conversely should stay at home more. Look at it in your usual objective and fair way and give it some thought. Another quincunx is in place between retrograde Saturn and Neptune, two slow movers; this aspect will hang in there for a while and thus be in effect for the Full Moon as well, reinforcing its significance. Saturn will have just backed into Virgo, your 12th House, from your sign. Saturn is all about restructuring and your 12th House comprises such things as your dreams, enlightenment, inspiration, spirituality, confinement, seclusion, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing. This is a bit of a woo-woo house yet an important part of life, even though most of it is largely hidden and intangible. Restructuring could comprise everything from being more disciplined about attending that yoga class to negotiating a hospital bill or breaking a habit that is self-defeating. Neptune rules the zodiacal 12th House of Pisces, so he will further strengthen the need for adjustment or a change of course. Neptune is in your 5th House of ego expression, creativity, children, romance, hobbies, entertainment and speculation. This is typically a rather pleasant place and Neptune has been imbuing it with inspiration for quite a while. He can also be illusive, however. This King of the Deep and Saturn are quite antithetical in their astrological influences. Saturn is about structure, discipline, boundaries and restrictions while Neptune strives to dissolve and dissipate those things. These two could work well together in these two houses, however. For example, if you have a plethora of inspiration for one of your creative endeavors, Saturn's discipline could help you make it happen. Saturn is also involved in an opposition with Uranus who's currently in your 6th House of work, health, service and pets. This would tend to bring disruptions and surprises to this part of your life, which I'm sure you've seen for so long now that it's become "normal." These two planets don't get along too well, either, since Uranus is all about disruption, sudden change, rebellion, breaking away and innovation. The implications of this aspect suggest an internal struggle between your spiritual values and your job. If you're not getting the satisfaction and meaning from your work that you require, if it just isn't "you," then it might be time to redefine what you should be doing for a living instead. With all the inspirational energy pointing toward change out there, maybe you need to look for something more in harmony with your creative side and need for beauty in your surroundings. You Sign Ruler, Venus, is in wide but valid conjunction with Mercury in Taurus, your 8th House of transformation, death and regeneration, sex, debt, and shared resources. This suggests an experience or situation will provide you with insights that could be deep and even profound. This pair is in a nice, harmonious trine with the North Node which is in your 4th House of home environment. The North Node brings things into our life, so watch for something new to come into your home environment that is going to have a significant transformational effect on you. This could also relate to something like getting the mortgage for a new home, so if you're engaged in house shopping, this should bode well. The Full Moon on April 28 occurs in neighboring sign, Scorpio, your 2nd house of finance, possessions, needs and pleasures. A Full Moon usually brings an ending or culmination with a shift to a new phase another possibility; this also ties in well with that Venus/Mercury/North Node activity associated with the New Moon. Mars in your 11th House of friends, organizations, groups, networking and goals is forming a T-square with the Sun and Moon, however, indicating a challenge of some sort. Perhaps you won't be able to move forward with something you want as quickly as hoped for. Your Sign Ruler, Venus, is in fellow Air Sign, Gemini, your 9th House of beliefs and expectations, higher learning, legal matters (such as contracts), other cultures, relocation and foreign travel. She is quincunx Pluto in your house of home environment, implying an adjustment that ties these two areas together. Saturn is still opposing Uranus and quincunx Neptune, both of which were explained for the New Moon. The Sun and Mercury are conjunct in your 8th House of transformations, so some thoughts or ideas that will have lasting impact and significance is brewing in that area and is likely to be related to your home as well. Short-term and Daily Aspects April 2: A conversation with someone close to you is likely to point toward some adjustment or course change you'll need to make. Mercury goes into Taurus, your 8th House, increasing your awareness of situations and your ability to internalize something important from them. April 3: Interactions with members of the opposite sex may be tense today. You may also find that your goals are frustrated or a group you were counting on for assistance doesn't come through as expected. April 4: There's a positive energy flow between your house of transformations and your home environment today, which could also relate to money in some way. However, news or information of a challenging nature is also likely. April 6: Favorable information pertaining to your home situation should be on the way. April 7: Saturn backs into Virgo today due to retrograde motion. Pluto goes retrograde as well until September 14. April 10: Adjustments or a change of course will be required due to some action on the part of a group or related to your goals that ultimately affect your home environment and what you're trying to accomplish there. April 14: New Moon in Aries as described above. April 17: Watch for a significant event that will deliver an opportunity your way, most likely related to your work or service in some way. April 18: Romantic possibilities are strong today. It's a good day generally to relax with those close to you. Mercury goes retrograde until May 10. Remember not to buy anything electronic or mechanical during that time. April 19: Someone close to you such as a close friend or advisor will have an important effect on you today with regard to motivating you to do something you may have overlooked or put off. April 20: The Sun enters Taurus today, bringing light and emphasis to events, situations, or experiences that will have a lasting effect. April 23: If you're involved with any speculations, be wary of delusions or deception today as things are not as they seem. Trust but verify. Expect the unexpected at work as well, since it is likely to relate to the other issue as well. Your creativity or ego may be a factor, so pay close attention to what's really happening. April 24: Taking steps to feed your spiritual self will provide lasting rewards today and provide future motivation to continue on that path.
