FULL MOON

The Full Moon on 13 October is in Aries. With Aries a cardinal sign that has a propensity for taking action, this implies either finishing up a project or situation of some description or at least getting set to move to a new phase. With the lunation in a partile T-square with Pluto, however, this suggests the necessity of cleaning up or resolving some old issue first. Pluto represents power and control, so someone or something may be in your way. He also represents elimination and cleansing, so if there is someone or something, such as an old mess holding you back, then it's time to clean it up. With autumn upon us, fall cleaning comes to mind generally. If everything else in your life is in order, I would bet dollars to donuts that your garage, attic, or that closet in your spare bedroom, could really use your attention. It may not be something tangible, but something lodged in your head or heart that needs to be dealt with, one and for all.

Jupiter is also in the same degree, but he's in Sagittarius, the sign he rules, and thus in dignity. This offers the opportunity to deal with whatever this obstacle happens to be philosophically. Most of life reflects your attitude, and Jupiter offers the opportunity to expand your horizons, beliefs, and expectations to higher ground. Mars in Libra is less enchanted with his location. He's in debility in that sign, where he is less autonomous. However, perhaps action has been stalled because it requires assistance, cooperation, or buy-in from someone else. Change is possible as well as the potential to break away from whatever this problem might be. Annoyances associated with some insisting on getting their way and refusing to budge is a potential problem, however. This is where you need to look long and hard at what's in it for them and point it out. They're not going to do it for you or to be nice.

Mercury, Saturn, and Neptune are forming a sextile pattern, one which tends to denote opportunities. These energies remind me of the movie "Flashdance" from back in the 80s. If you recall one of the songs associated with that flick by Irene Cara, part of the lyrics declared "Take your passion and make it happen." That is pretty much what this triad of rather diverse planets is saying. Use your imagination, think it through, then build a viable plan. Once you set your mind on what you want and visualize it, the Universe will start to direct it toward you.

NEW MOON

The New Moon on 27 October is in Scorpio. Scorpio is a fixed sign, suggesting it doesn't like change. Ironically, the lunation opposes Uranus in Taurus, another fixed sign, where Uranus is the planet that represents sudden change. If you're familiar with anyone who was born under a fixed sign (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius) you should understand that what you see if what you get. These people don't tend to change, a subtle, more politically correct way of saying they can be rather stubborn. This opposition thus suggests you may want something really, really, badly, yet can't quite let go of whatever is necessary to make it happen.

Venus and Mercury are conjunct in Scorpio bringing thought energy to your heart's desire. The real question, then, is what's holding you back? Mars in Libra quincunx Neptune is telling you a few changes are in order, especially if it's pie in the sky. Make a few adjustments and take another look. This aspect is part of a pattern with Saturn and Neptune and similar to the one noted above for the Full Moon. However, Mars in Libra brings back the possibility that you need help or approval from someone in your life to move forward. Compromise and negotiation to find an acceptable trade-off is your best bet here, though that opposition with Uranus doesn't help. However, that opposition will be relatively short-lived, so by the end of the month progress could be possible.
